Went for lunch today. Food was very good, but delivered to us in large to go sacks after being asked if it was ?for here or to... go?, and we said ?here?, and ordering drinks. Serivice was awkward. Read more

Unfortunately so disappointed much like the other recent reviews. We vacation on 30-A multiple times a year and I have always... looked forward to the delicious sushi at The Gathering Spot. This past trip, we planned a night to stop in for some cocktailsand sushi only to find that they completely re-did the menu here. Needless to say we were SO disappointed, as the sushi here wassome of the best I have ever had. Fortunately, they still serve the best cucumber martini I've ever had, and I will return forthat but will have dinner elsewhere. Read more

How do you ruin something that use to be so good! One of my favorite parts of coming here was the sushi and smoked wings. The... wings are still their but the sauce has been replaced with a salty oil or butter of some kind that would probably hospitalizesomeone with a heart condition due to the sodium content. WHY? Why get rid of sushi and why try to fix something that wasn?tbroken. Sadly I?ll have to find a new place to eat out as I won?t be returning here until the menu is fixed Read more

Love this place, staff is really incredible but it used to have incredible sushi, so disappointed they stopped serving it. They... have ?bowls? now of whatever. Not worth it now. I used to come here three times a week on vacation because it was so good and soconvenient, but a last resort food option now. Read more

The recent menu is absolute rubbish. I came in literally a week ago and was able to get a steak, fish dishes, barbecue, fried... rice, and sushi. All of which I would describe as the best on 30a Now it?s just a sad uninspired rip off of freshii(as well asover priced). Only a handful of the ?build your own? choices seem to match or have any appeal what so ever. I would expect morefrom such a luxurious location. But this is just disappointing. 0/10 will not recommend Read more

Been here twice in the past week. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Very friendly service and casual, clean and comfortable... environment. For lunch, we had the fresh grilled fish (grouper) sandwich, truffle fries, and kids pita cheese pizza. All weregreat. The grouper sandwich was perfectly cooked (moist and flaky and not fishy at all), and well seasoned on ciabatta. Thetruffle fries were pleasantly (surprisingly) crispy, not the flimsy homemade fries you get at a lot of places. The pizza wasreally tasty. For dinner, we had the edamame, steamed wontons, mona lisa roll, spicy emerald roll, and pho bo. The edamame wasperfectly cooked (just til soft, but with a little bite) and sprinkled with sea salt. The wontons were very tasty (the skin wasslightly thick for my taste/chew preference). The mona lisa roll was perfect - it was crusted with a delightfully thin batter -flash fried I assume, it is what I have always wanted in a battered roll, but never had until now. Thank you, the GatheringSpot! The pho bo was not the quintessential pho you get at your favorite vietnamese restaurant - it seemed like it had 5 spice, which is not my favorite, but most people that like pho will definitely appreciate it. The spicy emerald roll had a nice thinkchunk of tuna in the middle and was all that I had hoped for in a simple tuna roll, not a hint of fishyness :-) and not a speckof brown on the avocado that was layered on top. Last but not least, a tenor saxophonist played along classic hits, and he wasgreat entertainment and helped make the night really enjoyable for the little ones with us. I will be back. Read more
