Last month I saw an article in the Sonoma Magazine that Machado Burgers was voted "Best Burgers in Santa Rosa 2022". The photo... of a featured hamburger looked fantastic & soooo delicious, I knew I needed to take a trip over. I was not disappointed, theirfood actually exceeded my expectations...phenomenal!!! The new owner, Dusty, is very welcoming. His food is made from scratchwith attention to quality & detail. I was told they have a small car show on weekends & post pictures of customers with theircars & their story on the dining room wall. A great place for all ages. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Machados. It is newly named, with new owners and it was rumored to be much better... then the establishment?s prior owners and menu. First off the place is still adjusting so permanent signage has not arrived yetbut there is indoor and outdoor seating which I really like! The lady that was in front of me and my buddy had a list of itemson her phone it was apparently ordering lunch for her entire family. It was like eight burgers three chicken sandwiches sidesetc. I thought we be waiting a while for our food but that is not what happened! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger on afocaccia roll and their Piggy Tots. Tater tots topped with pulled pork, nacho cheese, chili etc.! I got the small order ortots. The food arrived very quickly and was quite tasty. It came in disposable containers but the place has that side of theroad place on those long road trips where you walk up to a window and order. Which by the way is how you do it here!! Verycool old school feeling! Burger was cooked decently and the sauce on it was amazing!!! It was a was very very good sauce wasone of the best I?ve had in a while and the focaccia bun really held everything together well. It did not fall apart liketypical bread buns. The Piggy Tots were just what I had hoped in they would be. Pulled pork over toasted tater tots with allthe trimming! Nacho cheese, chili, beans, jalapeño slices etc. Tots were nice and crisp and the toppings were wonderful! Iwill go back and I am looking forward to trying their tri-tip sandwich next!! Read more
Not worth the money. Small portion size for the cost. Literally a small container for meat and a little cup you put guacamole... in for potatoes salad... Crazy. Only reason I'm giving them to stars is it's halfway decent BBQ. Garlic pesto fries were decentas well. Read more
First time eater as I went in with a co-worker who had been here before. I ordered an Ortega burger and fries. This is not a... fast food place and your order will take a few minutes for it to cook, but it is worth the short wait. Both Burger and frieswere very good. It's hard to find crinkle french fries anywhere these days, but this place had them and I enjoyed them. As forthe hamburger it was worthy of a billboard picture. And that's the good news. The bad news is this was an expensive lunch. Forthe aforementioned items plus an iced tea the bill ran me $15 plus. That's almost exactly what Five Guys had charged me forbasically the same thing. As good as my lunch was, I think it could have been a little bit cheaper. And I would be remissed notto point out that the inside dining area was filled with smoke from the kitchen and it was actually difficult to breathe inthere. Fortunately it was a nice day and we were able to eat outside. Overall I'd say this place is not a bad choice for a goodlunch, but due to its prices I recommend you do it infrequently.
