I chose this particular restaurant by chance but to my surprise I found a diamond. The Italian waiter/host/sommelier was... attentive, patient and knowledgeable about the numerous items being served. In fact, I got a lesson in the regional sources ofthe items that I was enjoying. He even knew where the entrée was harvested (it was spiny lobster ravioli and squash from thecoastal area around Santa Barbara). He suggested a nice wine for me to enjoy with the food I chose and even offered to make mebruschetta after I shared my liking for it. In all it was a very tasty, very pleasant evening and I highly recommend it toanyone looking for good Italian food. Read more

Just went here for my anniversary last week and it was a delightful experience. We went on a Monday night so it wasn’t too... busy, and the wait staff were extremely attentive. Even simple dishes like the burrata caprese were made with such high qualityingredients, it felt like such an elevated dining experience. Great wine list as well. We didn’t leave any room for dessertafter getting the caprese, meatballs, pork special, and cacio a pepe, but every dish was delicious. Such a romantic atmosphere! Read more

Was searching for Italian restaurants in Santa Monica and saw this had so many raving reviews so decided to try it. This place... was originally a $$ on Google reviews. When we got there it was definitely a $$$. The prices are very steep and you don’t getenough food for the price. The trio of ravioli as a starter is a good choice if you’re indecisive and really want to try alittle of everything. The butternut squash was the best of the three. Also ordered a filet mignon. It doesn’t come with aside so be prepared to fork out a little more to add some mediocre potatoes as a side dish. I ordered the filet medium rare butit came out medium - medium/well. I hate sending food back but if I’m paying so much for a steak then I need it cookedcorrectly. When it returned it was more rare than medium rare. I didn’t want to complain so I ate it. The server was veryattentive and quite knowledgeable when it came to wine. Read more

Very nut friendly establishment except for dessert. A very romantic candlelight dinner experience, but you're definitely paying... for it. Bolognese, Vongole, tiramisu totaled around $95 after tax and tip. Opener was bread, olive oil, and olives that were anice palette cleanser. The Bolognese fettuccine was fantastic, perfectly cooked and paired with a flavorful meat sauce. TheVongole had a decent amount of clams (maybe 15-20 pieces) and paired well with the light olive oil. Portions were generally onthe smaller side - enough for maybe 4-5 bites per person for 2. Service was polite to a point. However, preference was beinggiven to the table next to ours that was ordering multiple courses, wine, and expensive dishes. It seemed that after we refusedthe wine menu, we were put on the backburner. Almost no one looked our way for water refills or an extra utensil. Read more

Wow, this place is great! Save for the prices, I have nothing negative to say here, only positive. The service was top-notch,... the table setting was splendid, the food was superb and the atmosphere was very romantic. The marinara with meatball appetizerwas probably the best I've had, do try that if you get the chance. The only warning is to be ready for the prices! Read more

This was my first time eating at a more “upscale” establishment.. There is a dress code to be seated inside I believe... (business casual) I was wearing a cute beach outfit, so I was seated outside which was very nice ????… I can say I was a bitnervous but the amazing staff took care of me. They where so nice and treated me well… They will gladly answer any questionsyou have about the food and accommodate you. They will come to your table a lot to refill your glass and ask if you are ok. Ihad the gnocchi blu and OMG???????? NOTHING COMPARES ???????????????? yes it is pricey but sooooo worth it… Definitely will begoing back new fave dinner spot Read more

Pricey, yes, but it was all really good. Porcini risotto was on point—best porcini I’ve had outside of Italy. Also perfect... red wine. Excellent service. Read more
