Hello, We booked table for four, this is not my personal but 4 of us. Food was not really up to the mark. Naan we ordered were... raw not perfectly cooked. Non-veg dishes specially Kashmiri Rogan Josh was black in color, when we asked for replacementwaiter with mustache replied the cook already made have it. Probably first restaurant in LA we?re I paid bill with 20% servicecharge. Though we respect the food ???? of any origin, just want to share our bad experience. Read more
We went for dinner on a Friday evening. The food was delicious, particularly the classic dosa. The spicing for the sambal and... chutney was very good. When we arrived the service was a little frosty, once seated, the service was good and the stafffriendly. Hope to return soon. Read more
Situated right 5 minutes from Santa Monica Pier, tumbi is a very cool vibe. Ngl, it was more fancy that I excepted. We tried the... bhelpuri, cheese dosa and channa batura. All of it tasted good. I?ll say it wasn?t extraordinary but definitely a good meal. Theambience in the restaurant was lovely and looked really clean and well lit. The waiter?s were attentive and helpful. Hands-down the best Indian food in LA for me! Appetizers: Panipuris were crisp, fresh and the pani was just the right amount of... tangy! The wada pav was soft, crunchy and the idle fries are a stroke of genius. The avocado bhelpuri are pretty dope! Neverknew avocados would go that well with that spice palette. Main course: The butter chicken is so good and so rich! We ordered ittwice! The laccha parattha and the garlic naan compliment the dishes really well! Dessert: Kulfi: they have malai, pistachio andmango flavors! So smooth, so rich and a good portion size The deconstructed carrot halwa: probably haven?t had dessert that goodin a while.
