Just want to start by saying the staff here is excellent. The food however is not up to par. They charge way too much for the... quality and flavor of the food. The brisket was dry with an OK flavor and had a nasty bbq sauce with it. The smoked wings tasteddecent but also really dried up. In terms of sides the mac and cheese wasn?t seasoned well and the cole slaw was pretty good. Ithink this place has potential but honestly is charging too much for what they offer. Maybe consider preparing the meatdifferently and make sure the brisket is always juicy and flavorful bc that is the king of texas bbq. I?ve been to Franklin BBQand other Texas spots and this place is no where near that level but they charge more. Last thing, definitely recommend changingthe bbq sauce, it ruins the dish. Read more

Damn good. Everything has been stellar but the pork ribs stand out and are about as good as any you?ll have. All the sides are... also great, the greens a must have. Read more

The guy behind the counter who took my order was kind, enthusiastic, and attentive. That staff member is what?s convincing me to... leave an extra star on this review. Other than that the food was not too exciting, portions were really small, and the taste wasokay. Not worth the price in my opinion. Read more

I'm from Texas and maybe I just had too high expectations from reading other reviews that said this place had authentic Texas... bbq... it's not. The brisket was underwhelming and lacked the smoky flavor of true Texas bbq. The hot links were sub par to thesausages available at whole foods or local grocery stores. The holy bread was the biggest disappointment of all. The sauces theyprovide were just gross. Maybe if I didn't know what real bbq was I would have rated this 3 star. With that said, I have nottried other bbq places in LA so I can't compare this place to local competition. On a positive note, staff were super friendlyand accommodating. Read more

I'm from Texas and real BBQ is difficult to find on the West Coast. Well, this place is real BBQ. The brisket is tastey and... tender and worth the visit all by itself. Also had the chicken, the Texas toast and the potato salad. All were good. Had to trythe onion rings and I would order them again too. The foot traffic never stopped for pick up orders but there were plenty ofseats as we ate in. I can see where parking could be limited, but at 5:30 on a Wednesday we found parking right out front. Ordered take out here a couple of weeks ago. Arrived pretty quickly and the food was still warm. We ordered the Hog Sandwich... (pulled pork), BBQ plate of tri-tip and ribs with collard greens, and Texas toast. Best Bite: oddly enough the collard greenswere my favourite. Super flavourful and cooked to perfection. I can eat a pot full of these greens with no complaints. Andtheir simple Texas toast with spices was surprisingly delicious. Definitely order these two sides!! My boyfriend really enjoyedthe Hog. Tons of pulled pork and the coleslaw was pretty legit. The BBQ plate unfortunately under-delivered. While I know thetri-tip is leaner, it was quite dry and lacked any flavour unless drenched in their sauce. The ribs was also super dry and justdidn?t have the juicy fall-off the bone, finger-licking goodness you?d expect. Next time, hopefully I?ll get to try theirbrisket and maybe that?ll be better...
