Reviews for Windmill Cafe in Santa Cruz, CA
This place is very cute ???? I like how old and coastal it looks. I got the French toast with bacon ???? and a espresso. The... French toast has a good flavor but way too mushy in texture. The bacon was alright not the best though. Friendly staff and anice outdoor area with lots of plants and flowers. I might come back and try something else ????. Read more
Absolutely amazing. Very very generous with how much you?re getting for the price. Amazing quality of food and presentation.... Super aesthetic and relaxing outside eating area. Absolute hidden gem of Santa Cruz I will recommend forever. Read more
The Costco bagels and paper plates made my family questioned our trip to Santa Cruz overall. The extreme price of it didn?t sit... well either for something I could?ve whipped up during a camping breakfast setting. Coffee was decent and I would probably onlyrecommend this place for it. Read more
Mary and the crew never disappoints! This is my absolute favorite spot to grab coffee, breakfast or brunch- and to catch up with... friends because the outdoor space is superb. The staff is super friendly and knows me by name. Pro tip- with all the deliciousmenu items, people forget the soups- Mary (and Frankie?s) soups are literally the best- made with love and organic ingredientsfresh from Mary?s personal garden. Anyway- hats off to Mary and the whole family at windmill cafe- thank you so much for mybrunch today and I can?t wait to see you tomorrow and any other day I need a pick me up or a delicious meal. It was a good portion, but you can only sit outside, right next to the road, so it's very loud.
This place is hiding in plain sight....probably driven past a million times and never noticed there's a windmill in Santa Cruz... with a cafe in it. Food is dine out only at the moment (on a very nice patio with sun or shade, take your pick). I had thegrilled goat cheese and smoked salmon sandwich on sourdough. Grab an extra napkin 'cause it's kinda sloppy, but this sandwichwas DELICIOUS! Plenty of lox and oozing with goat cheese. My companion had the bagel and lox, which was super-loaded with evenmore lox than the sandwich. Sorry to say, my house coffee was meh (I take milk in my coffee, so you know I'm not apurist...but I do want the coffee to taste like something!) Overall a good experience and a nice spot for a casual bite to eat. Read more
The Windmill Cafe has a new regular in me! Cute location. They have a nice patio surrounded by plants and a nice ocean breeze... (bring a sweatshirt) cause it's outdoor seating only. They have a solid breakfast plate with fluffy scrambled eggs and perfectlycooked bacon and potatoes and toast. 10.50 before tax/tip Read more
