10/18/22 the toasted pat,bacon, & cheese was good. meaty and savory. garlic fries was okey, expect garlic to be splattered... instead of smothered. like everysingle fry barely had any garlic, so its pretty much a dipping method to scoop up some garlic.ordering and waiting was not long. overall, everything was fine. This place opened just before the pandemic, believe. I recall thinking I should try it. Then everything changed for two years!... Finally venturing out more. I have just now tried it this Spring 2022. I had a hamburger that was delicious. Reminded me ofbowling alley hamburgers I had as a kid in SoCA. 1/2 pound of meat is a bit too much (for me) and wish they had smallerversions. I had it with everything except cheese and it was so good I went back two weeks later. Still delicious. I like thembetter than 5Guys, except for the size. Haven't tried any of the deli sandwiches. May try their tuna. It's hard to find a goodtuna sandwich! It's nice to sit outside, too. Parking is easy at Brown Ranch shopping center, where they are located. Read more

Tried the Philly cheesesteak sandwich today! All the ingredients tasted fresh and the meat was good, but overall it wasn?t... hitting the spot. There were a lot of bland onions that overwhelmed the tasty meat flavor and it could probably use a bit morecheese. But the service was good and I?m curious to try their other sandwiches. Read more

We finally have a Joe's on the East Side! Sure, it's called Robbie's Sandwiches, but it's the same awesome sandwiches, burgers,... fries, etc. we all know and love. I guess one of the members of Joe's family decided to strike out on his own, and I'm stoked hechose Capitola! Super basic interior, and I'm not sure whether they are eventually planning to serve beer there, but it'sawesome to have another good sandwich place in town. Very affordable too! Read more
The fact that this place has so many good reviews is a testament to how mediocre Santa Cruz restaurants are. I've lived here for... 20 years and I wish I was lying. The bread is basic, poor, and stale. The condiments are high school cafeteria quality. Theproteins are ok. Service is pretty lame, location is an eye sore. Come on. TRY to do better Santa Cruz.
