Lovely setting with a spectacular view. The restaurant has interesting cocktail and menu items. We particularly enjoyed the... smoked cocktails. Unfortunately, the kitchen was slammed with large parties that night; therefore, our food arrivedsignificantly late and were not up to its normal standard. Our server was apologetic and the GM owned up to the missteps andrectify the situation promptly. We plan to return next time in the area. Read more
Had dinner at The View with my husband tonight. We were seated right away at the out door bar seating and the view was lovely.... Unfortunately this was the best part of our experience at the resturant. We placed our order for truffle fries, filet mignon,and a salmon salad. 20 minutes after placing our order, were were delivered calamari so we sent it back. When the fries arrivedanother 10 mins later they didn't really taste like they had truffle oil or aoli, more like garlic and parsley but were hot andcrunchy so we ate them. It was almost a full hour after seats when our entree arrived. The filet look like and had theconsistency pot roast instead of a fine cut of steak. The flavor was passable so my husband ate it but would not recommend it.My salmon salad was well made. Whe. Our check arrived we noticed that the calamari we sent back was still on the check. Thewaitress fixed it right away. Between the service, quality of food, and the ants all over our seating area I wouldn't come tothis resturant again even though it has a fantastic view. Read more
Today is my birthday, i called them up and told them we need to make a reservation for the birthday party 3 of us, they told me... there is opening at 7:45 pm and 8pm, I chosed 7:45pm, and we got here on time right on 7:45pm.... then 3 of us had been sittingon the empty table since 7:45pm, to right now 8:52pm, more than ONE hour waiting, NO FOOD !!!! THE CLOSING time is 9pm....everyone of us is getting more angry while every minute goes by..... we shoud not have been treated like this. I personallygive them 1 star ???? because there is no 0 star option ..... we are cold and hungry sitting outside on the top of the montain ,this restaurant os ruinning my precious birthday dinner experience right now, how could you guys are sooooo rude and have notHEART !!!!! We thought it was great place until the check came. Very expensive The cheese board - 5 would get again. Bread is nice and... salty and toasty The clam linguine - 5 nice and chewy. Very garlicky Fish chips - 4 apparently one of the better ones but thefish is too thick, the skin is great The kids cheese flatbread- 2 but my kid loved it so.... Our visit would have been... the perfect place to enjoy the morning but severe short staffing issues at the restaurant left us abandoned for nearly an hour.When we were finally served the food was great and the one waitress was on point, although clearly overwhelmed. Lastly, the barstaff was next to incompetent, but cheers to the next visit actually having employees present. Read more
