I live about a mile from this restaurant and I was excited to try their chicken fettuccine Alfredo. So I called their number and... it rang and rang but no one answered (the call ended by itself after around 12 rings or so). This was a Saturday evening, so Iknew they were open. I tried calling five more times, same thing. So I finally drove there and placed my order, explaining thesituation with the phone, but the cashier wasn?t friendly in the least and said or did nothing to make me feel better. When itwas told that my one dish would be 40 minutes (even after my many attempts to order ahead), I had them cancel my order. I reallydon?t mean to sound like the stereotypical ?Karen/ Chad?, in fact, when I get great service, I always speak to a manager to letthem know. We've been to this Chi Chi's location on Soledad Canyon several times and have always received adequate to good service, nothing... to literally write about. However, our experience on Friday night (Nov 11) was really great. Our server was Eliana, a very sweetand attentive young lady. She always kept checking on us, making sure we had enough water and drinks. The best part for me was,when I ordered my pizza well done (a must at Chi Chi's or else it's basically pizza soup), she brought the pizza and asked if itlooked ok or should they heat it a little more. In all the years I've been coming here, no other server ever asked me that.Furthermore, some of my "well done" orders in the past came back looking (and feeling) anything but what I expected. This place has the best food and atmosphere in SCV. My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years and have not found a... place with better pizza. My husband who Travels a lot for work and has tried dozens of "famous" Pizza places and has still notfound a place that can compete with Chi Chi's. The wait staff is incredible, but we always ask to be seated with our favorite:BO! When my kids are back in town from College, the first request is always Chi Chi's. We can't remember the last time we lookedat the menu because our order is always a Family Antipasta salad, easy cheese/ crispy medium pepperoni and onion pizza, andshells with meat sauce! A staple stop anytime I visit California. Consistently good with great rolls, pasta, and salad. Also not a big root beer drinker... but whatever they do with theirs is different. Very crisp and delicious. Read more

What an experience. Even my child said they're treating us like royalty. Our waiters name was Lyle and he over exceeded with... class and professionalism from the beginning to the end. I know this is an Italian restaurant but let's talk about the perfectamount of cheese and the crust was not your average crust. Cheap price for an experience and real pizza.
