We came here because of its ratings on a gloomy day craving for some hot chaats and we were a bit disappointed with the food.... Here are the items we ordered: Pav bhaji - 2 pieces of mildly toasted pav with a container of bhaji and a side of a small cupof chopped onions and a slice of lime. The bhaji tasted good and the quantity was large for the pav. Would have preferred if thebhaji was served hotter. Sabudana Vada - 2 Sabudana balls served with a cup of sauce. The Sabudana balls were crispy on theoutside and soft and a bit gooey on the inside and tasted delicious. The sauce was the highlight and definitely somethingunique. Pooranpoli - One piece of pooranpoli on a plate. The taste profile was not per our expectations based on the reviews wehad read but overall decent. Vada Pav - The 4 star rating is because of our disappointment with this. It was served with a coldpiece of unsliced pav, a cold chilli, warm vada and 2 tiny cups with chutney and powder. Would have liked it if the pav was hotand toasted and the whole chaat premade instead of serving it deconstructed. All items were served on paper plates and plasticcontainers for a dine in order. Most of the dishes taste good. The only thing I didn?t enjoy is QUANTITY of the food. I ordered paav bhaji and felt like... ordering something more because 1 dish wasn?t enough for me. For this quantity I would like to pay less price ???? Read more

Amazing discovery for a very good fix of Maharashtra/Mumbai street food. Run by an enterprising and friendly Roshan Sivalkar... (spelling?), they dish out some of classic street fare like batata vada, pav bhaji, missal pav. They also do dishes likekothimbir vade, sabudana vada - stuff which is available at very Maharashtrian eateries in Mumbai, but not availableeverywhere. The food smacks of quality. From the word go, it is very evident that they use high quality and authenticingredients. The taste of the missal pav and pav bhaji were on point - they immediately transport one to Mumbai! Even the pav(buns) of the pav bhaji were buttered and seared to perfection. Very good puran poli too - rich and mild. The freshly steamedmodaks were divine. The batata vada tasted good - but could do with tad more salt, and be slightly smaller in size. Theingredients used were very good even for these though - no complaints there. The restaurant is like a self service restaurant, with disposable crockery and cutlery kept at a station on the side. The dishes get served to the table. And one is meant toclear out the table after finishing one's meal. The kitchen is clearly run under very good supervision for that quality to bemaintained. I learnt that it is handled by Roshan's sister and mother - so I assume the spot-on recipes are theirs. They had atough time initially because COVID hit the world within a couple of months of their opening. The restaurant struggled tosurvive. But thankfully, with community support, they have come out of it and are doing roaring business thanks to theirquality. On the whole, strongly recommended. Read more

Best vegetarian Maharashtrian food I have had in USA so far! We ordered Misal Pav, Pav Bhaji, Zunka Bhakri (rice bhakri),... Solkadhi, Vada Pav, Khichadi and Ukdiche Modak. Food served at this restaurant is homemade. Price is reasonable. Portion size isdecent. Service is quick. Food is fresh. Staff is accommodating and friendly. I recommend this place 100 percent. You are notgoing to be disappointed. Special Note - Modaks tasted like my mom?s, which I am very satisfied for! Read more

This was our first visit to the restaurant. My brother and his family have had food from here a lot of times and so we tried a... new restaurant this time with them . I am a mumbaikar so always try maharashtrian food. We had ordered a lot of differentdishes . We loved the Kothambir vadi with sweet salty nutty green chutney. Sabudana vadas were very crisp and firm and verytasty. Pav bhaji had a fresh and different taste than most places in the bay area. We had never had Biryani with aloo so it wasa new experience. We would personally like a little lesser aloo in Biryani. The best dish was Bharali Vangi and our whole familyloved it. It was a little spicy for me but super flavorful and tasty. We had also ordered Puranpoli as the final dessert. Iloved the ghee and hot Puranpoli The sweetness was just perfect and it was fresh and super yummy. We went on Friday for dinnerso it was super busy and they had lots of To Go orders. We loved the outdoor seating with the String Lights, trees and theweather was so much better so outdoor dinner with family was lovely. The food is served in boxes so we can just pick the lidfrom inside and take the left over good home. We wanted to sit outside but were not able to find an empty table . The staff atthe restaurant figured this out himself and asked us and made sure we got the spot we wanted . The food is good and the staffis very helpful , friendly and open to suggestions. I would highly recommend you to try this all Vegetarian Maharashtrian cusinerestaurant. Read more
