Reviews for Rusty's Pizza Parlor in Santa Barbara, CA
They are 500? away from the motel we?re staying at. The pizza we ordered an hour ago was supposed to be here in 35 minutes.... Probly didn?t help that they hung up before we could tell them the room number. Then we tried to call back and got a recordingsaying they were closed. Errr! In the other hand, when the pizza finally showed up it was pretty good. Read more
Pizza was well above average. Very friendly service.
Went in at 9p. Plenty of available space, but many tables had not been cleaned. Pizza is OK, but veggies a little undercooked.... Staff is friendly. They have a couple of arcades that help entertain kids. Read more
A quick bite of fresh pizza! Ours was veggie & served w the usual veggies, jalapenos & zucchini & pineapple. Thin crust small... was plenty for two, but ya have to have a draft beer with that. Read more
My friend's youngest daughter suggested we visit this pizza parlor. Her daughter is a student in Santa Barbara and heard rave... reviews about Rusty's from fellow students. Her daughter associated a pizza parlor with Chuck E. Cheese and thought Rusty'spizza would have a similar taste. She liked Chuck E. Cheese pizza by the way. When we arrived, we noticed the parking lot wasempty except for the number of delivery drivers picking up deliveries. There were three drivers ready to leave and another twopulled up while we were inside the establishment. The sun was down so the inside looked dark with all of the wood. From theoutside parking lot, the place looked closed. I accept the fact that the dining area is not opened to the public but the diningarea was not inviting because that area was not well lit. The kitchen was VERY busy. That area was the only spot well lit. Onlyone other patron was inside waiting for his order. The space to wait and order was tight so he stood away from us but I felt allsix of us (him included) in that area was too cramped considering COVID. Since we ate earlier, I wasn't very hungry so I onlyordered the garlic cheese bread. The others ordered pizza and chicken wings. My friend's oldest daughter, who ordered for hermom and sister, noticed charges on her receipt that she questioned. The young lady explained the charges which was accepted butmy friend's daughter felt the cashier should have offered better customer service by explaining what sauces came with the pizzaor the wings and what would be considered extra. She felt this would have been a common courtesy. She had the money to pay forthe extra. She just wanted to wanted to know ahead of time that the other items were extra. My son paid for our order. I wassatisfied with my selection. There were enough slices of garlic cheese bread to satisfy my taste. The youngest daughter statedshe would return to Rusty's with her boyfriend when he comes to visit. Read more
Ok. So. It's Christmas Eve at night. We are from out of town. We had no idea what to have for dinner. So we jumped on our car... and just drove around the city. I spotted this place and decided to go there. Great decision! The pizza was great, the attentionon point and the place itself very clean. I would totally come back again Read more
I guess they can open so many restaurants because they don't maintain their existing ones. This place is like a time capsule of... my youth.... Over 20 years ago. The place is run down and dirty with graffiti all over the bathroom, urinal and thermostatfalling off the wall. The "one salad bar trip" sign is both hostile and a joke that no one listens to... Seriously... Handingme the bowl costs more than anything I could eat at the salad bar. I stood at the counter for at least a minute while the staffspoke in Spanish to each other and ignored us for deliveries and chatting. I guess if you like this style of burned fast foodpizza, I oukd understand it, except it's super expensive.compared to much better pizza within a 2 minute drive. Read more
