Incredible atmosphere. An exceptional and one of a kind restaurant in Santa Barbara. ???? went for steak and Jill?s place did... not disappoint. Not surprising considering the restaurant?s origins. But you?ll have to go visit and let Jill tell you it?shistory! Whether you?re on vacation or a local this place is a must. Plan on making it my local???? Read more
We have had the pleasure of dining here twice so far, including with a large group (Porsche Club-Riverside). Everything tastes... fresh. The staff is friendly and pleasant. The prices are very reasonable. Very highly recommend this restaurant. Read more
The best au gratin potatoes ever!! Loved the garlic bread too. I've never had pea soup before and this one made me want more.... Staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely going back. Read more
Burgers are incredible! I also love that you get fries AND salad on the side. My only critique would be that I thought the fries... were a little bit underdone. Read more
Good spot of evening out as a couple. Not like a regular steak restaurant or high end dine in spot. Nice and quite environment... with good staff and menu. They have this eucalyptus jelly, outstanding. Expensive for the price to quantity ratio. I had theirlamb, 2 t bone chops, seasonal veggies, garlic bread, soup and salad, and a side of our choice. It?s just too much food, if youdidn?t eat the whole day. Meat size can be increased by reducing sides provided. Not too many alcohol options or taps. Though mylamb was almost well done when I asked for medium but the jelly increased my ratings. Read more
We were visiting Santa Barbara for the weekend and we wanted a nice meal to finish off our little trip. We were recommended to... eat at Jill's in order to get a Santa Barbara native dining experience and we were not dissapointed. I like how the restaurantis a little bit hidden and not planted right on state street in the more touristy area. Of course, it was valentine's dayweekend and the evening before valentine's day (Saturday!) so we were greeted by a little bit of a wait. We arrived at around7:30 pm but we were seated at 8 pm. It was quite crowded and for a while, it seemed like the rest of the waiting customers weregetting disgruntled. Thankfully, a woman (who I think was the owner) promptly greeted everyone and even handed out freecocktails to all of us waiting for a table! It was chilly outside so it was very nice to have a little alcohol to warm us rightup. The servers were very fast and friendly, they were also very knowledgeable about the items on menu. My fiance ordered thelambchops with french fries and I ordered the new york strip steak with mashed potatoes. The NY steak was a LITTLE bland andunfortunately did not come to the table cooked the way I ordered it. My fiance enjoyed his lamp chops but they also came to thetable undercooked. I liked the split pea soup and garlic bread that came with our dinner, the side salad was very simple. Iappreciated the freshness of the sauteed veggies that came with our entrees (they were tendercrisp and had beautiful color) butthey were a bit bland. I also ordered an appetizer, fried brussel sprouts with bacon. The flavor was delicious, fatty with a hitof vinegar to cut through the richness. Overall this was a very cute restaurant and I would come here again to try other thingson the menu. Read more
