We did not eat here so this review has nothing to do with the food. We are tourists who had just driven a few hours to get here.... I needed a restroom just to change my clothes from travel clothes to something less casual. So we saw the restaurant had someactivity inside, the gate was unlocked as well as the door, first thing I see is a restroom so I went in to change while myhusband waited outside the restroom. I hear from inside a woman who proceeded to tell my husband they were closed, my husbandvery nicely said that his wife was just changing in the restroom. The woman very rudely proceeded to scold my husband and tellhim "Don't walk into a closed restaurant, there's public restrooms elsewhere" in a condescending tone of voice. We had no ideathe restaurant was not open as we are not from this area. I guess we have ruled this place out from our places to try on thistrip. RESPONSE to owner: I completely understand all rules and have no problem respecting those rules, apparently we came inthrough the back gate which had no signs. What I'm not ok with is being scolded like a child by one of your employees and beingtreated the way we were. As stated before, we had no idea it would be a problem or that the restaurant was closed. I think youmissed the part about how we were treated. Read more

Excellent food and excellent, friendly service. We dined here twice while in Santa Barbara and had great meals each time. The... butter chicken was delicious and the lamb chops knocked our socks off. I can’t recall the names of all of the dishes we had,but everything was outstanding. The wine list was an extensive collection of natural wines. The two we had were very good. Read more

This meal was amaze. The vibe was chill and the wine list, if anything overwhelming with local and global wine. Very laid back... friendly service. All the dishes we had were great, anything you order you won’t be disappointed. Read more

This place has really good food. I have only been here twice because of the ambiance. The first time I went, we sat inside and... they were playing electronic dance music at club volume and we couldn't have a conversation without shouting over the table.Just went last night to try it again and say outside and the music was still bizarrely loud. Everything we ate was good, butit's a place I won't keep going to because of how loud it is. I don't mind loud music when I am at a show, but for dinner, it isnice to be able to have a conversation. Food is good, but pre-made. Dishes came out <10min from ordering and no substitutions allowed....Pretty obvious. But if you are... having dinner later, you are talking 3-4 hrs and that is if it is made right before dinner. 95% of wines by the bottle, so nothelpful if the table doesn't want the same wine. The by the glass pinot offering -only pinot offering- was ok for a naturalwine. Overall, the food tasted good going in, but not as great settling. I expect made to order for anything above $12. Considerthis a good fast food for delivery, but not worth dine-in. Read more

Very inventive Indian restaurant. Awesome that you can get sea urchin biryani, which is a cool blend of Santa Barbara and... Indian food. Read more

First Indian food in Santa Barbara so can’t comment on the relative ranking yet. Service was above average and food was solid.... I was told not to miss the cauliflower and butter chicken and both did not disappoint. Garlic naan was average as it could haveused some more ghee and garlic. Wine selection was impressive if you are looking for a large selection of central coast organicwines. Read more

good indian food with a natty wine list/shop. some of the best lamb chops I’ve had. curry had just the right amount of spice.... food came out quickly. but pretty expensive for what it’s worth, $16 for the appetizer, $23 for butter chicken, an extra $5each for basmati rice and 5 cubes of paneer… maybe i’m spoiled by SoCal. fyi, there’s a cute & private outdoor patio inthe back.
