Reviews for River View Golf Course in Santa Ana, CA

This is the worst golf course I have ever played. I played River View for the first time the other day with a few of my buddies,... and I can guarantee we will never return. The fairways are mostly dirt and sand, and the greens are in terrible condition. Thecourse is also located on top of a dried up river which make the conditions even worse. In addition to the horrendous coursecondition, there are multiple homeless people living on the course. And if that?s not bad enough the owner of the course thinkshe?s a big shot even though he owns the worst golf course in California. Read more

35 dollars for 18 holes. Tee boxes & Fairways in great shape. Greens a little slow but in good condition. Many tee times... available. Played as a TWOSOME. Only issue was finding the next hole. Got lost more than once. More arrow signs would behelpful. Overall a really great value. Look forward to playing there again. Read more

This course is more like 3.75 stars overall. 5 stars on price, less stars on course maintenance. The greens are nice, but the... cart paths could use a lot of help. Signage also needs help and our group found ourselves confused about the location of variousholes. But, if you are looking for a good round of gold at a very reasonable price, this is the place. I will be going back. Read more

Paid for 18 holes. Holes 10-18 had NO FLAG STICKS on ANY green. As a return customer I requested a voucher to replay 9 holes and... was DENIED. I was NOT informed the course would be closing at 5pm. I feel absolutely cheated out of the round I paid to play. Iam at the course multiple times a week and am now very upset on how the club has handled the situation. I would have never paidfor 18 holes knowing they were removing the flag sticks. I request a voucher to play 9 holes. Read more

I've played golf for 40 years and this is in the top 3 worst courses I have ever played. There is barely any grass to hit off... in the fairways, there are major sand and open field ways that populate the course, which should be considered ground underrepair, the course is so tightly intertwined that you can easily be hitting into other groups, there is no water to get a drink,no food that is available at the turn, and tunnels/underpasses that you have to travel through that you wouldn't want to walk inif it were getting dark. The only redeeming quality is the price but that was negated when it took over 5 hours to play on aFriday morning, when the website boasts a 3.5 hour play time. Read more

Great course with several elevation changes. We named the sand that runs down the middle, The Principal?s Office because,... depending on your lie, you might be in there for a while! Greens in super condition!!! Read more

Interesting course, alone Santana River, shorter than regular 18 hole course but fun to play. Greens are great condition,... surprisingly good playing path on weekend. Definitely a course worth to try in South California. Read more
