I bumped into this place with sheer luck and I am so glad I did. The owner, team understand hospitality. The Micheladas are... solid and the food is amazing. Definitely a hidden gem worth a view. Read more

Been visiting this place multiple times and that day was the first day I ever ate at this place. The store is always clean... stocked up and had that aesthetic where you are at a tienda. We got the blue corn cakes, the la llorona, cafesito iced of courseand their Jamaica Palmer. Food was really good. The jalapeño sauce with the sandwich was really good it basically shreddedchicken reminded me of a bit of chicken tinga with the salad on the side of course. The blue corn cakes is really crispy andsavory. Reminds me of a latke. It comes with a side of salsa and crema. The service is great. Your instantly greeted when youarrive and the staff is super friendly really nice folks. They also check up on you to make sure your enjoying your time and ofcourse your food. For dessert, ordered the French pudding it?s like a French toast but better. Very buttery but melts into yourpalettes. It?s not too sweet but with the right amount if you get what I?m saying. If you are in the area do check them out theyhave plenty of seats and next time will come try out the rest of their menu Read more

Great michis, great pozole and a great vibe! Alta Baja is located in the heart of downtown Santa Ana and is home to one of the... best rosters of Micheladas I have ever had. My favorite meal on the menu is their vegan pozole which is served the last Sundayof every month. Read more

Loved this place! Food was great, choice of unique beers were fun and tasty, service was fantastic, (she made great suggestions... for food and wine) and she was so friendly and enthusiastic! Price was a little over $100, BUT that was for lunch with my Neiceand me, 4 unique beers (don't judge... my Neice is over 21) a bottle of wine to take home and a few goodies from the shop. Ijust love places like this ???? I'll be back ~ Don't let the construction in the area make you go elsewhere. Once inside, youwon't notice at all. Read more

I love this shop. Delilah, the owner, is super nice. She knows every product in her store like the back of her hand and will... chat with you about any of them. Also, THE MICHELADAS!!!!! Come for the micheladas, stay for the grilled cheese with amicheladas. The menu is surprisingly large for a market like this, and the prices are very low for what you get. Highlyrecommend. Also, the beer selection is out of this world. Read more

Best place ever for vegan/organic inspired creative breakfasts, sandwiches, and salads. There are big meaty options too -- try... the Todo! Every detail of every dish and condiment is special and has its own story. Alta Baja serves a very, very thoughtfulmenu. I am a regular because first and foremost on their mind is to serve uniquely delectable meals at a fair price. Alta Bajais also a market with an eclectic mix of cooking and food items. Spend any time looking and I guarantee you'll find somethingyou really want to have or at least try. Everything is unique unto themselves, from spice to rice, beans, pasta, and soups. From incense candles, eco friendly soaps/cleaners to chocolate covered crickets, you will find something you want. Did Imention the wines? The atmosphere is chill -- excellent for coffee and a laptop or just an email cleanse from your phone. Youcan have Alta Baja's brew of coffee or import a cup from the barrista next door at Portola Coffee. After noon, switch it to acraft beer on tap or mix it up with a Michelada. There are plenty of seats near open air, floor to ceiling screens at thecorner of Bush St and 4th Ave. You'll see,... it really is a great place to chill. Read more
