The restaurant was decorated so cute! Parking was limited, location was wonderful to watch the sunset. I had the Caesar salad... with the fish special which was sold as a firm, white fish entree. However, it was not at all what I expected, very strong fishsmell & the texture of tilapia. For $70 + tip I was very disappointed in the choice I made for a special dinner. Will definitelyget the NY Strip next time which my friend ordered. It was wonderful. Read more

My wife and I enjoyed our 17th year anniversary here last night. The ambiance is wonderful. You get a few of the ocean and if... you time your visit right you will see beautiful sunset colors or the sunset itself. My wife loved the garlic plate appetizerand I fell in love with the goat cheese pillows. She had the scallops with a side of risotto and I had the duck breast (askmedium rare!). The dessert was fantastic. It made our anniversary unforgettable. Laurie was a fantastic server and the gentlemanwho helped us recover my camera lens cap from behind the bench went out of his way! Just had dinner here and wow! Ate inside and it?s very charming - it?s small but nice. There is a nice back wall of windows and... you can see the water. The service was impeccable - friendly and attentive without being over bearing. The food in short isincredible. Come hungry bc you will want to have several courses. All of it was wonderful but stand outs were a tomato saladwith several types of tomatoes, a phyllo shrimp appetizer and be sure to try the desserts - the trio sampler is pure decadencethat you won?t soon forget. We made anniversary reservations, and were able to get a window seat. Space is limited, and we were very cramped, but the... restaurant was whimsical, our food was delicious and our waitress was wonderful. They first served complimentary bread and olivetempenade. We started with a shrimp appetizer, which was really good. I had the filet, while my boyfriend had the new york strip- both delicious. We ended with cheesecake, which was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our time there, definitely a restaurant forspecial occasions, and one that I would most likely not bring my kids to. Read more
Excellent food, cool theme, friendly staff. We waited a while for our food and we?re there over 2 hours but it was worth the... wait! The goat cheese pillows and duck were excellent! Dessert was great too! Read more
Outstanding service, fun atmosphere, great meal with excellent options to select from. I ate at Mad Hatters 30+ years ago and... remembered it being a special place to dine. The restaurant is rather small but located right in the beach. While we throughlyenjoyed the food, the service made the experience five stars. Definitely a good choice in Sanibel/Captiva. Read more
