Stopped here today for breakfast after shelling on Sanibel Island! Not only was the beach amazing, but this restaurant was... too!!! I mean everything was wonderful! The pancakes are so fluffy, and the eggs were cooked perfectly, as well as the ham andhome fries!! We chose to sit outside on the porch and we?re comfortable and even had a nice view of the water!!!! Had an early morning breakfast here recently and loved it. Sat outside where you can easily see the water across the road. The... service was very friendly and efficient. The food tasted great. Be sure to try the key lime French toast. It has a nice taste ofkey lime without being over powering or overly sweet. It?s just right. I could have eaten two plates full! Highly recommend. Read more
One of the best places to dine! Amazing lamb, tender, falls off the bone. Macadamia encrusted grouper over quinoa. Salmon over a... bed of risotto. All immaculately prepared to perfection. Their warm spinach salad was delicious as well. Crème brûlée or KeyLime pie was out of this world! Make reservations in advance since the sun sets within a specific time frame. If you forgot tomake a reservation, take your chances and ask to eat at their bar. The service and food is just as wonderful. One more thing,Their service is just as fantastic but Scott is one of those shinning stars. Thank you for making our dinning experience sospecial! Cute diner with a small patio serving excellent food. We talked about the burger for days, then returned for brunch. The salmon... eggs Benedict was incredible ? with smoked salmon, capers, and raw onions, it was like the Benedict version of bagels and lox.And to top it off, the servers were friendly and fun to be around. What a great experience, we've been coming to Sanibel for years, and I can't believe it was our 1st experience with the Sunset... Grill..because of a compromised immune system we couldn't enjoy dining in so I called ahead and spoke to a awesome young woman"Heather "..she was patient and recommended some great ideas for dinner..I had the Chicken with mash potatoes and veggies, wealso had the grouper and at her suggestion I tried the crab & shrimp bisque "..delicious..Heather thank you for the kind helpfulhelp, and when I picked it up you were even nicer in person..just the service alone would bring me back, but hoping next yearwill allow me the privilege of dining in, and hope to see you again Heather..great food, and service ..til next year here'swishing you a great season. This was one of favorite restaurant in the island! We had delicious meals with fresh fish, lobster, & scallops! The waitress was... polite and efficient. The only complaint is we were EATEN ALIVE by the no-see-ems. If you haven?t heard, they are gnat-like bugsthat you don?t see or feel until it?s too late. The notes are itchier than mosquitoes. Supposedly baby oil works well to preventthem from latching, (don?t apply during the day, you?ll get a sunburn) around sunset and later. Bug spray didn?t help much. Read more
Absolutely excellent food here along with dessert options. Half chicken was so juicy and the grouper melted in my mouth with the... mango salsa.... Try the key lime pie and the apple crisp, you won't be disappointed! Great comfort food. And the view at sunsetis breathtaking. Read more
