The food was great. Some of the best rotisserie chicken that I've had. Yellow corn was buttery and sweet. Coleslaw was... excellent. I've never had flan before but that was really good too. Reason for the 3 stars is the area where the food is dishedout was kind of messy. I paid with cash and apparently the resturant had run out of change. It was only $.30 and i was going toput it in the tip jar, but still. None of the unoccupied tables were clean so I wiped one with a napkin to sit and eat. Finally, there was an employee taking a nap with his head on a napkin dispenser at the table across from me which was weird. Itlooked like they were busy so that maybe the reason for these issues, never the less it was off putting. If I hadn't gone in toeat and paid with cash it would have been 5 stars, no doubt. Read more
Definitely a 5 Star food experience. We each ordered a half chicken, I ordered plantains and black beans. VERY flavorful. The... chicken was extremely moist, full of flavor. This was my first experience with Alpaca Peruvian Chicken in Sanford. I was somewhat lost and skeptical when I went to the... restaurant, but was desperate for a new dining experience within Sanford. My visit ended up being one of the best experiencesI've ever had at an establishment. Upon my arrival Katherine, Cristal, and Adriana immediately began making me feel as if I wasnot only very welcomed but also made to feel as if I was home. These three women assisted and educated me in what Alpaca had tooffer, and made sure I found food that not only filled me up but satisfied me greatly. Quick service and comforting food! We dined in and had the Carnitas tacos with a side of Maduros and also the Flautas which came... with rice & beans with a side of tostones. I loved that there was a stand alone taco bar in the dining area where you coulddress up your tacos if desired. It included fresh chopped red onions, lime wedges, cilantro, sliced radishes, and 2 sauces...agreen tomatillo sauce and a spicy-looking red sauce. Spice up your life! Some friends and I stopped in yesterday and was greeted staff. I ordered the Friday special which was a... smothered jerk chicken meal with rice, beans, and plantains. This is the 1/4 chicken plate. It?s supposed to be a thigh and leg. ??????????? Most High God if you want me to cook at home... just say that Vs me wasting money. Lol *sigh* I could have gotten an entire pack of chicken for the cost of the plate. Read more
