Locally recommended and sourced food. The menu is limited but the lobster roll and the ice cream were delightful. The roll had... plenty of lobster for the price including some tail and claw. The chicken parmigiana was okay - tasted like it was frozen from apackage. Now the ice cream. This stuff was delicious. Rich and creamy. Generous scoop. One of the best ice creams we have had.It is surprisingly not overly sweet. It balances well in the mouth. Read more

For management: 4 of us stopped in for supper tonight and were disappointed. The $13.99 scollop meal was sub standard. Over... cooked and/or old cooking oil. Fries were cold. The 4 lobster rolls were also just ok. The ladies room cleanliness was a bigzero and tables weren?t very clean. Entire facility in dire need of a professional cleaning crew. You can and have done better!Customer service was pleasant and polite. Read more

What Ice Cream place serves ice cream in containers with holes at the bottom? When I bought a chocolate ice cream, I didn?t... think that would be followed by using half a roll of paper towels to wipe my car seats down. Even though I was covered in icecream and had to clean my car, I was still in a better mood than the lady serving the ice cream. Read more

Shain's is great! We had lobster rolls, chowder and fried fish and it was very tasty. Such a good value! Even though it seemed... busy, the line and our food were pretty quick. Definitely must go for a good meal. Read more

The ice cream is good. The hot dogs are boiled on toasted buns. The line is loooong. It's a weekday in May in the 60s and... there were about 15 groups in line curving around the tables in the restaurant. They need to make a queue with ropes orsomething to consolidate the people waiting on actual summer days. Their milkshakes are called frappes and are one size inactuality, but the scoop sizes you choose determine the thickness. Lots of seating in and outdoors with some shade. I justdon't see what the big deal about this place is besides being a Maine-named institution. Read more

The lobster roll was hot, buttery and all claw meat. Clam chowder left nothing to be desired and the homemade fudge on my sundae... was top notch. I'll definitely be back! Read more
