It's a little mixed review, the service was great, servers were polite and attentive, not something you see a lot these days,... with all the short staff and overcrowded restaurants. The food was fresh, with great size portions. My only problem was the ribsdidn't meet my expectations, they were kinda on the reheated side for me, my wife loved it nonetheless, I just didn't get thatmelt in your mouth fall off the bone kind of feel and texture you get from a smoke house. But overall, it was an ok experience.Did I get that? Oh, I can't wait to go back feel nah, but it's still worth a try as you try to find your favorite BBQ place. Had the brisket sandwich, as recommended by the server. It was REALLY good! The Smoky sauce is excellent, but I think the... Original won overall. Had the baked beans. They were great as well. Service was good, but our food took 25 minutes. We wereheading to the airport, so it put us in a bit of a time crunch. Still, this food was excellent, and I highly recommend. I have to give a huge shot out to Shauna!!! She is the best bartender/server!!! I have been a repeat customer for several years... because she is so amazing! Shauna makes amazing drinks and always makes sure I have a great experience. She is very fast andfriendly. She is very attentive as well!! The food is great and she is the best hands down!!! Always enjoy Sonny’s and this location is no exception. Sliced pork was tender and juicy. And the fries were done just about... as I asked for them. Still good though. Service was great and the atmosphere was nice. Spoiled only by the kids but can’tdo anything about that. Read more
We ordered with Door Dash. Was still warm when we got it. Everything was so so good except the pulled pork. That was just gross... and sad to see they have let the meat go so down hill. They use to be a lot pickier about the quality of meat. Other then thethe sweet potato and coleslaw and garlic bread and baked beans all were very delicious!! Price was way higher then it used tobe. Been to many different Sonny's and this Sanford location takes the gold. My taste buds were immersed in the most succulent... ribs! I haven't been here for years and it looks like they've renovated. The food was good and the service was even better. Ibelieve her name was Ciera and she was highly attentive, kept bringing me the Ribs without delay. Can't wait to go back! Last weekend on our yearly family vacation we stopped at Sonny’s BBQ. The whole experience was amazing, our server name was... Jamie and she was excellent. From the minute she walked to our table, she recommended some of her favorite items on the menuthat she thought we would like, and some that weren't popular with guests. She made sure to let us know if our food was delayedand was always right around the corner if we needed anything else.
