Finally! We have found an Italian restaurant that feels like home. My family is from New York and finding good Italian food in... the area has been hard. We have been to LA Famiglia now about 6 times in the last month, bringing our whole family. Theirtomato sauce, pizza, entress and desserts have been amazing. The food tastes so fresh. And the portions are enormous. There isno kids menu printed on the menu itself, but they do have kids portions of the pasta dishes. The service has been amazing. Youmust take your family! Read more

Ordered for delivery after a long day. Got the fettuccine Alfredo. No complaints about the pasta. I added the chicken for $6 and... this simple paste dish came to $25. I’ve never seen such a small portion of protein. For $25 I can get a meal at a high endrestaurant with a full portion of chicken. I don’t mind paying good money for good food but this just does not cut it. Verydisappointed with the overall value of the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. I will order again but not this dish. Hi Sanford neighbors just wanted to post my experience dining out at one of our local restaurants “ La Famiglia Italiana”... off is Sanford ave. First impression on scenery was older Italiana style. We ordered the 18” pizza( yum), baked penne withbreaded chicken and Frutto Del Mare (white)yum.. the only complaint which isn’t really a complaint is that the pasta was alittle firm to my husband and I liking. Now they did mention that they do under cook the pasta for authenticity so if you likesofter pasta just make sure you mention that while ordering. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable on the food options. Will Definitely be a spot that me and my family will visit again. Read more

First time, and may turn into our favorite Italian restaurant. We had chicken parmesan with marinara sauce, lasagna, cheese... cake and tiramisu. Every bite was delicious. The place is clean inside and out. Tables have decent spacing with portable a/c ,temperature comfortable. Ample parking. Eve was our server, very attentive and sweet. We will return. Read more

La Famiglia Italiana\n\nMy girlfriend and I went to la Famiglia Italiana on a Friday night. Got there about 5:30 and there were... only 3 other tables occupied. We asked to be seated at one of the tables over near the front window. (The table for two at thewindow was already taken)\n\nOur server was Maddi, and she was fantastic all night. We also chatted with another server who wasextremely nice as well.\n\nWe got a bottle of pinot grigio and ogled the menu for a few minutes. I’d heard someone else saythat the mozzarella was house made, so I REALLY wanted to try the caprese...but the GF wasn’t in the mood to eat a bigappetizer AND an eggplant parmigiana.\n\nMaddi dropped off a little plate of roasted garlic infused olive oil with someolives...and bread. OMG, the oil was terrific! (Also made in-house).\n\nSo I ordered the penne alla vodka and GF got thateggplant parm. Even though the restaurant was beginning to fill up by now, the wait for our food wasn’t long at all. And boywas it hot, and delicious.\n\nThe GF (who, based on the number of times she’s eaten eggplant at restaurants) is an expert onthe stuff, and she declared this the best eggplant parmesan ever. She described it as having a crispiness that was awesome, andthe sauce was outstanding. It also came with a nice little serving of spaghetti with marinara and mozzarella. I’d have tosay that the penne I had was also terrific.\n\nWe finished the evening with the 3 cannoli plate, and it was fantastic. Hadenough leftover pasta to take home two containers for the next day!\n\nI really liked the atmosphere of the place was, which washomey. Small enough to be a cozy neighborhood gem, but big enough to have a fun vibe. The staff seemed to be really enjoyingthemselves too.\n\nThe chef/owner(?) came out to chat with us and some other customers for a bit, which was another nicetouch.\n\nAll in all, after one visit, this has become our favorite local restaurant! We’ve decreed that we’ll be back Read more
