Reviews for Hollerbach's German Market in Sanford, FL
Very thankful for the nice young cashier who went above and beyond to get me some plumstreussel cake. The other guy told me no... they don?t have any yet as we got in right after they opened and the cashier told him yes you do its down there he told him Idon?t care about some stupid plums right now and continued on his phone. After shopping some more I politely asked the cashierso do you really not have any plum cake he replied we do how many pieces would you like. Thank you as we drove an hour to shophere and was craving this and was getting some for friends to thank them that helped us prepare for the hurricane we had. Read more
This place is one of my favorite places downtown. It's like a small convenience store with many German products and merchandise.... During my visit, we got spaghetti ice cream!! I never even heard of anything like it, but it's basically just ice cream ranthrough an extruder topped with raspberry syrup and white chocolate shavings. Read more
Probably the all time best German restaurant I've been to. The good is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is absolutely... first rate. Great beer selections. After your meal, visit their German store around the corner. They have everything and theprices are very reasonable. I try to eat at Hollerbach's every time I visit Orlando. Read more
I love this store. It's my favorite place in Sanford. I would go here weekly. Instead, I only go about 3 times per year because... the owners just can't get the store to flow efficiently with the employees. It is ALWAYS a very long and inefficient ordeal togo there to get something. And this predates Covid. I've been going there for 7 years. They've tried to help by extending theregister further away from the deli counter but it didn't help. I was still there 30 minutes recently just to buy a sandwich fortake out and it was not a weekend day. My suggestion to the owners if you read this: pay a much higher wage and hire moreemployees. If you pay significantly more, you will get employees there who can run your store efficiently and you will make more$ in the long run. If someone like me would shop there 50 times per year rather than 3, don't you think you'd offset your higherlabor cost by increased revenue? Just a suggestion. Read more

I found out that they carry Black Forest Cake and I had to give it a try, since I have been looking for the longest time for... one. It is a cute little store that has a sandwich counter, baked desserts, beer and various German goodies. The Black ForestCake was very good. It was not overly sweet, the Chantilly was lovely and not greasy, the cake spongy and moist with a littlebit of real homade cherry filling (not Maraschino). I wish it had more cherry filling but it was still very good, tasty and madewith quality ingredients. Tried one of their Berliners filled with raspberry and it was good too. Glad we stopped by to satisfyour sweet tooth. Read more
My wife visited here on a prior vacation, and had to bring me here to see. It's is a great little shop with a ton of German... candy, and food. The selection of beers is amazing. The deli had meats, and cheese, as well as a small breakfast menu, and asandwich menu. I chose the Brat Sandwich with spicy mustard, minus the sauerkraut. My wife chose to have the turkey and pepperjack cheese on a pretzel bun. They were both tasty, and hit the spot. Read more
Love this place. They got everything here and the cafe has great sandwiches and drinks. They also got a clothing store next door... if you are in the market for clothing. They got T Shirts, costumes and some really nice wool sweater jackets. Read more
