Great chicken, nice people, excellent service. We had an early dinner here tonight it was great food and great service. The... chicken is spicy but not too spicy and very flavorful. It has minimal breading and reminds me a lot of the chicken I grew upeating at home. The other pleasant surprise was how good the sides were as well. We both had mac & cheese and my wife hadgreens and they were both excellent! The sweet tea was on point as well and my only wish is that they had biscuits. A friend introduced me to this place and I?ve been bringing others here for their 1st experience every since. The staff are... always friendly and welcoming! The food has never let me down. Chicken is breaded to perfection and seasoned very well, plusit?s fresh and hot. Sweet tea is just like a true southerner would expect. The greens could be a little better, but that?s mypersonal opinion. The only item I haven?t sampled would be their dessert menu, maybe I?ll try that next time. I?ve had fried chicken at other ?best? fried chicken in town but to me this was the best. The breading is very light and... flavourful. Even the breast is incredibly juicy. The fried okra and French fries were delicious. The mac n cheese was alright. Iwish the chicken was bit warmer as they were getting colder. Second time at this location. It?s worth the hour plus minutes drive for us. On top of the incredible chicken and sides, the... staff is some of the best we?ve ever had. Highly recommend the Sandy Springs location to anyone looking to give THE BEST friedchicken place a try. I will never not order the greens, mac and cheese, and fried pickles. As the level of service at local Alpharetta lunch establishments has dropped to unacceptable levels, we ventured out the area... for our after-church refueling. In short, Gus?s was everything we could have asked for. Super nice server who seemed genuinelyhappy to be working, great appetizers (we had the fried pickles and fried okra, heart disease be damned), and to top it off, oneof the top 5 fried chickens meals I have ever had.
