Reviews for Big B's Fish Joint in Sandy Springs, GA
Been wanting to try this place for a while now. The food was just OK. The clam chowder was more like a baked potato soup because... it was extremely thick, full of potatoes and very little clams. The same goes for the shrimp grit fritters. These are more likehushpuppies, with 90% grits/10% shrimp. Since the appetizers were disappointing, I decided against ordering an entrée. Onevisit here was more than enough for me. Read more
The 1st time I ate here, I joined my daughter and her friend for lunch. It's a cute little place in a multipurpose area with a... beautiful apartment complex and quaint restaurants. It's a small place but it's nice. Indoor and outdoor dining. My favoritething on the menu is the salad and the fries, oh yeah the lobster rolls and shrimp are good too. I like it. It's a nice placeto dine. Read more

Tasty lobster roll with plenty of lobster! We ordered the lobster rolls and the creamy Cajun shrimp pasta. I didn?t try the... pasta but my daughter sent it back because it was bland. It looked good though. The lobster roll comes with fries which wereseasoned well. I also looked at other dishes as they came out and they looked delicious so I will go back to try otherdishes. They have a patio for outside dining g and was dog friendly. Our server was very friendly and even brought out baconand a water bowl for our dog. The bartender was also friendly and made good drinks! Our 2nd visit on Ash Wednesday. We dined in. First visit 4 stars.. slow service with take-out. This 2nd visit I would give... 3-3.5 stars based on slow service and missing dessert on our take home order. Food tasted amazing!! Atmosphere was nice. Housemargarita was very tasty. Ordered the blackened grouper dish. Very tasty. The price just doesn't match the portion. :-( I havebeen to other local restaurants in nearby area. A grouper plate for $30 comes with more and the size of fish. Husband orderedAlpine Trout bowl. Very tasty as well..but the "seasoned potatoes" tasted more like frozen bag potatoes vs fresh diced potatoes. We ordered the Salmon BLT sandwich and Pumpkin Cheesecake to go. The to go order took foreverrrr to come. :( Got home and theSalmon BLT barely had any salmon and NO Cheesecake in the bag. I sincerely hope service and meal portions improve. Very nicerestaurant and location. Read more
