Haven?t had Steak ?n Shake in a while! The food was very good. The vanilla milkshake was very good!
We were the only people there at dinner time, and more than half the tables were dirty. You have to order at a computer kiosk... and they print a receipt, which is why we were surprised when two out of our five meals were incorrect (no bacon when we paidthe extra $2, cheese on all burgers when one was ordered without, no milkshake when we upgraded from the regular drink, forgotthe extra fry dips we bought too). The food itself wasn?t bad, but the drink area was super sticky and overall the restaurantlacked cleanliness- again we were the only customers and the drive thru was completely empty as well. The worst steak n shake I have ever been in the entire country. Extremely rude and poor service. A worker at the window tossed a... runny shake in my car with a loose lid and spilled it. Another worker came to the window angry and complained about napkins. Iwas wondering why the restaurant was empty on a weekend, now I know why. AVOID! Read more
I didn't know until after but several of the town people.said do not go there and I could see why. The food was slapped... together a day very dry. Whom ever the female employee taking our order was outrageously RUDE! We had wanted to do 2 orders and she said she couldn't do... it because they were short staffed! So we gave her one big order! Which didn't make sense! I understand short staffed but udon't talk to me like I'm a dog! She needed a reality check! Read more
We were on vacation at Great Wolf. The Milan Road, Sandusky Steak N Shake was absolutely filthy (see Photos) the food was cold?... couldn?t even eat the fries? tasted old and cold. Condiment station was empty? had to flag people down for salt and a spoon forapplesauce. Staff was very unhelpful with order error and attitudes were terrible. Seemed no one cared. This evening my husband and I went to the drive through to place our order. We waited for someone to even answer to take an... order. We then drove up to the pick up window where a women was standing with her back to us. My husband just asked if they werestill open. The women then snapped very rudely and said "Well if you would have waited you would know if I was open or not" Shethen turned her back and walked away. I have never experienced such rudeness! If this is the way you treat customers than I cansee why so many of your restaurants are closing! We then went to the Chick -Fil-A and were treated very well. The whole place has changed and you have to order on a kiosk, pick up your own food and get drinks. The buns were not toasted... and dry and falling apart like they were old. The burgers had no flavor and didn't have the normal crispy edges. Frys and onionrings were cold and tasted like they were redropped in the fryer to reheat but did nothing but make them soggy and greasy. Wewere the only 2 people there in a restaurant that used to be packed. Now I know why. We will never return. Culver's will get ourbusiness from now on. Read more
