Reviews for The Fat Pig in Sandpoint, ID
In terms of iconic pub houses, this place takes a seat at the head of their table. Honestly, small and crowded, but for very... good reason! People come here to enjoy the environment of a main street classic! With an ever evolving specialty drinks menu andgrowing local options, there is nothing left out of their alcoholic craft. An awesome experience a - z. Clean restrooms andawesome food! Service was neat and quick, with options for all walks of diet. Can't wait to come back to this beautiful cornerof the state! Read more
I'm very surprised by how casual the staff dress for such a restaurant environment as their decor was made for-one server looked... like she was dressed for tennis in very short shorts, and all the girls seemed to have less than a normal professional length ofshorts on. One male server, he was young, was even wearing basketball shorts while serving! The food is decent! $27 for a steakand the belly bits are delicious. The risotto was a bit lack luster and the steak needed some extra flavor added. We asked forthe hot sauce collection, which honestly perfected the food, adding that extra "umph!" I would say I'd like to visit again, butthe servers attitudes felt as though they were more central to them being focused on what is happening after work rather thanbeing present. We even had to deal with a less than pleasant guest who made a racial slur towards me. Overall, the staff seemedless interested in new customers and I would recommend it only if they are looking for one of the few dog friendly restaurantsin the area. The patio is fine, but they could pay more TLC to the many bulbs that were out on the string lights-seemed likethey let it go for some time. I would suggest playing music in the background to enhance the outdoor dining experience. One ofthe other servers was fantastic to her customers and expressed how the restaurant was once a part of a winery distributionfacility. That was neat to overhear! Other than that, I think I'd like to check out other spots in the area and see what elsethe restaurants there have to offer. Read more
Cute industrial atmosphere with adorable pig decorations throughout. Menu was pretty good but fairly limited. No cocktails... besides canned but good selection of wine and beer. Would recommend. Read more
Delicious and reasonably priced. Had brussels sprouts and the chicken satay and they were both fantastic and large portions.... Wine selection was great, and there were a few beers available as well. Seating can be tight; we had to wait about 40 minutesbefore being seated but it was worth the wait. Our server knew the menu well and was familiar with all of the dishes. Read more

This place will amaze you... No doubt about that. The food is absolutely amazing. Tonight I had the special, see pics cuz I... can't spell very well.. but it was so good, just the right amount of heat with an awesome flavor combination. So far I've triedthe salmon served with mind blowing creamed corn, the belly bits (order 2) Korean BBQ chicken strips, the bang bang cauliflower(I don't like cauliflower, but this is amazing) and recently I tried the burger... Make sure to make a reservation. You won'tfind better service anywhere in town ?? Read more
Dining off and on in Sandpoint has always felt like a challenge. On our 2nd loop through town in search of post hike nutrients I... saw the barrel above the door. This was a great stop and will definitely be back again. The restaurant is clean, staff isfriendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes. The outside patio was great. Food came out quickly, but not to quick, perfectlytimed after our appetizer. Will definitely be back! Read more
A decent place to eat, but not one that stands out as being incredible. A great selection of local beers. The menu was a bit... confusing, being American and Asian but not feeling like it was a combination of the two. Read more
