Reviews for Spuds Waterfront Grill in Sandpoint, ID
Expensive and ordinary. My baked potato with just butter was $6.50 (plus tax and plus tip for another $2.25) and was served not... quite done (maybe microwaved - not sure) and with no taste (not rubbed in oil or salt). The view from the patio was nice... Read more
Ordered the baked potato with butter because it almost half the price as the one with cheese. Little did I know that is was... half the size. If said it was smaller on the menu it would be understandable, but wasn't. Also it came luke warm. Had to sendbake to be microwaved. Was not fresh tasting. Others liked their larger baked potatoes. One had a sandwich and said it wasaverage. Read more
*Allergies* Visting Sanpoint someone recommended a restaurant down the street, so we went. I am severely allergic to potatoes!... Upon ordering I saw thier name, apologized and turned to leave. I was asked to stay and assured I'd be okay. They did it! Idon't know how but they were so awesome! The food is good too. Read more
Husband got the BLT and a cup of the Garlice Potato soup, I had the Capistrano as a lettuce wrap. All were delicious!
Good food but service is not great. We came in one day at 2:45 and were told the kitchen will close in 15 minutes and that the... dishwasher will have to stay as long as we do so to hurry up. We understandingly said we can come back a different day. Secondtime we came in at 2, thinking a whole hour should be enough to eat and leave. While we were ordering our food we asked if ourkids could sit down at a table as there were several families crowded in the foyer waiting to order ( we had three families inour company with 6 children) Plus two extra separate families/groups behind us. Were denied (they were afraid that if we satdown and others ordered first we would be taking their spot. However one person was taking orders and we were the ones orderingso no logic there) They explained they had a system that has worked for 25 years.... no sitting down until you have paid foryour order.. Once we ordered we were again told that we have until 3 oclock to eat and leave because they need to go home. Thelady then turned around and left, we were just standing there confused as to where to go and pay for the order. Bewildered westood there waiting for her to come back. When she came back she informed us that there is a piece of paper on the counter withinstructions for where to pay so we could finally sit down... So she bothered to tell us we need to leave in an hour but couldnot tell us where to pay?? Finally we paid and sat down. Food was good but potatoes were barely warm. Also potatoes are around10-14$ with no extra sides. Water is also a self serve station. If the staff was more understanding and would sit the kids downwhile we ordered ( restaurant was fairly empty) instead of being so stuck on ?rules? and was more attentive in explaining thingsinstead of seeming like they wanted to go home and not wanting our business it would have been a cute little place I would haverecommended. But the staff just made us feel belittled and uncomfortable. Felt that this plac Read more

Great deck dining with delicious food and pretty good service. Were treated with a bald eagle perching above the deck.
Great lunch here! A little chilly but good view by the window and fast tasty food. Friendly staff as well.
