Reviews for Brickies Smoke House and Grill in San Tan Valley, AZ
Stopped in to watch MLB afternoon playoff game?but it was in a weather delay. They have many TVs to watch if a game is on. ... Ordered the pulled pork quesadilla and it was huge and delicious. I sat at the bar and the service was great (Nic). They usereverse tap glasses and pitchers so the beer is ready to drink right away. And the beer was cold! Overall a great experienceand I?ll definitely return. Read more
This was a nice little hidden gem. Definitely a little hole in the wall eatery. I drove by it twice and almost didn't see it... the third time, it literally is tucked in to the corner. The atmosphere is more of a hang out bar than eatery. Lots of sportson the many t.v's. Small waitstaff, two waitresses and two runners, and the bartender. Part of the charm is that the owner (Iam assuming) frequently comes out of the kitchen and checks on you to see if your meal and experience has been good. Now forthe food... the food was great! The Shredded Brisket Nachos were big enough for two and the flavor kept me nibbling long afterI should've stopped. The full bar will make whatever you ask for and the drinks are strong. A great little find and worthexploring the menu a little more. Read more
Tried out for the first time tonight and was a disaster. To Start one server comes up to us to see what we would like to drink.... I say water and my husband asks if they have coke or Pepsi. No response from server A. 4 minutes later or so a second servercomes up introduces herself and ask what we would like to drink and we respond same. Did add a beer this time and server B toldmy husband they have Pepsi products. Order appetizer ask for a ranch and never get it. We both order burgers my husband wanted aplain burger even told server B only cheese nothing else. I reiterated that to the server. Well his comes out with the garden sowe send it back. He gets it back and all they did was pick off the garden that shouldn't have been there the first time. Hesaid it tasted not bad. I ordered a BB pork grilled cheese sandwich, that comes out with no cheese. Hello grilled CHEESE. Sosend it back and the kitchen put 1 single cold piece of cheddar cheese. Cold grilled cheese sandwich anyone By this time beyondirritated, told the server to take it back and off my bill which they did and also took care of half my husband's bill. Theyoffered to remake it or get me something else. Never going there again Read more

Normally great but, but this time awful. Ordered it online where their site automatically added a tip on. Ordered my child a... classic burger well done. After she ate half of it I noticed that it's completely red inside. Didn't have the normal ingredientsthat were supposed to be on it either. The pulled pork sandwich I had was so far. No sauce had to use my own sauce they forgotthe bun so I had to go to the fries and buy myself buns. Also had to wait a half an hour for it to be ready. After spending $40for an adult and child, I would expect at least a decent meal. Also, they claim their french fries are slightly beer batteredwhen they are clearly seasoned fries from a freezer pack Read more

First time at Brickies and we took another couple with us. My wife had the bone-in garlic wings, I had a half-rack of ribs and... our friends shared a burger. I tasted one of my wife's wings and after we left and I asked for feedback she said she couldn'ttaste the garlic. That was my experience too. But the wings were moist and tasty - not very meaty - as you can see in my pic.The ribs were good - fall-off-the bone tender and moist. I typically don't add BBQ sauce to my meats. Most sauces are loadedwith sugar and mask the taste and at $19 for a half-rack I wanted to taste the ribs, not the sauce. The burger was probably thebest bite of the day. Huge, cooked just right, juicy, and served on a great brioche bun. All in all, solid food, priced somewhathigh, but large portions. Beers were ice cold. Service was extremely good. Unfortunately, due to our fault and our fault alone,we walked out and left our container of take-home-for-dinner left overs on the table - half an order of the ribs and half theorder of wings. About $15 worth of food. We didn't go straight home so it was two hours later when we got home and realized weleft the food. I called and was told that they held onto the food for a while but when I didn't return after what they thoughtwas a reasonable wait, tossed our food. Sad, and a waste. That has nothing to do with my four-star rating. Read more
We visited this restaurant, well let's call it what it is, this bar and we were just so let down. Our server looked as if they... hated working there and knew the food was going to be awful. We got a patty melt and a cowboy burger. The patty melt was groundbeef(with no seasoning) held together with a little bit of cheese and it had diced raw purple onions and the bread was coveredin butter to the point it was soggy. The cowboy burger was so overcooked and the patty was falling apart from how dry it was.The bench seat had duct tape patching the holes on the cushion and it wasn't bolted down so anytime one of us would get up, thecushion would slide off with us. Our server didn't ask us once how the food was so that leads us to believe they knew it wasn'tgood so why bother asking. It's really unfortunate, this place could be great. Update the dining area, change out the awfulbright white lights, clean the floors and update the menu a little bit. You can't just cook meat without seasoning, even saltand pepper would make it a little bit better. It's in a decent location but I don't know how they're still open with such a lowlevel of food and service. It could be great, I really hope they get it figured out and do some tweaking. I've never been insuch an inviting unhappy barbeque joint. Good luck Brickies. Read more
