Reviews for Los Palillos Restaurant in San Rafael, CA
Worth it. $$$ signs though. Incredible tortilla soup. Excellent produce used.
Excellent authentic Mexican food, nice outdoor dining area, very friendly service!
25 bucks for a super quesadilla and it's not even on the damn menu. A shrimp quesdilla is 9.75 lmao rip off.

Really clean tasty food. Check it out.. Would be 5 Stars if the lady at the front had a better attitude (seems unhappy to be... there - Not rude, just unwelcoming.) They have a nice patio out front. The young man serving water and delivering food is verykind and friendly. Read more
This Restauarant may be located on a street leading down to a dead end, but that is perfectly fine, since the food will bring... you places. I go here once a week on my punctual lunch break, and the quality of food and service is great every time. I usuallyhave a super burrito, which comes wet--highly recommended. In the area? Check it out. Read more
The chef can really cook here. The food was so good and the plates are extremely fresh and hot. I got the two plate combo which... was priced perfectly. So good. Read more
The food was good. San Rafael has a variety of authentic diners. I really did not feel welcome or comfortable here. I visited... twice. The first time was for a lunch. The second time was for a dinner. Both times were dine in. It seemed odd to order andthen pay and tip before eating at this style of restaurant. It is not all necessarily fast food. I had an uncomfortable feelingwhile standing to view the menu. As though the cashier was growing impatient with my studying to decide. Both times I wasgreeted by my server with, "I do not understand", "I do not speak english". I was just looking for a more detail description ofthe ingredients on what I ordered and a glass of ice water in addition to my drink and meal. I got neither. The meals weregood, and I assume authentic. But, I just do not understand not having hosts, or server, or employee availability for customersthat are not fluent in speaking Spanish. I try to accommodate with what few words I know, but a little help would benice. Also, I am surprised that "water" is not a common to decipher, universal word. I just let it go after my server neverreturned. Even had she checked on me, I would have ask for "Agua" (I believe that is water) and learned a lesson...but she neverreturned to my table, I sat outdoors, which I rarely do. Just did not feel a good vibe here. Must have been me...Both times. Read more
