My friend treated me to lunch today at Tomatina as a birthday gift. It was the first time either of us ate here. I have nothing... but superlatives to offer: Isaiah, our waiter, was very welcoming, courteous and professional. I ordered the chicken parmigianaand my friend ordered the bruschetta as a starter, and the Mediterranean salad as her entree. All items were delicious andserved in generous portions. I topped my meal off with their apple crisp dessert. And just like the other dishes, the applecrisp exceeded my expectations. Pretty good and decently priced. Only complaint was the pesto was pretty oily, there was a pool of oil left when I... finished. Update: Went back and had a much better experience! Wanted to find a good Italian spot for dinner. Went with some coworkers and was not disappointed. Service was great, very warm... and inviting. Food came out quick and definitely did not disappoint. Overall experience was great and thankfully found parkingin a lot next to the restaurant. It's in hear of Downtown San Mateo so parking isn't gonna be easy to find but it worked out. Read more
