A delicious culinary destination tucked away on a fun little side street in San Mateo. The food here is fresh and bright. I?ve... visited a dozen times over the years and never been disappointed. Amazing food and super friendly service! The place where I tried the most delicious gnocchi in a world (: Soft, flavorful and... melting in my mouth. Can?t stop eating them even though was not too hungry! Their capreze salad and bruschettas are true anddelicious as well. Love this place! The friendliest, authentic Italian-American welcome They have delicious food on the menu - we loved the... bruschettas, caprese salad and truffle gnocchi. But they also will take requests from the "secret menu" - i usually ask forEggplant Parmesan, they usually have it and it is the most delicious i've ever tasted! Wow. . . All I can say is wow. Food was SUPERB and service was the best of it?s kind (shout out to Karen!). We had the Salmon... and Spinach Ravioli and it was the best meal I?ve had in a while! Update: Pretty much coming to this restaurant at least once amonth - we've tried various menu items and can confirm that everything is delicious and service is still amazing! A friend brought us here based on her relative's recommendation. It reminds me of Billy Joel's song minus the "little village... green" visual bit but retaining the small cosy ambience. The foccacia spread with the tomato dressing is definitely an appetitewhipper. Soup of the day is pumpkin based, delightfully creamy. We never tried Sicilian before so avoiding all the commonlyseen ones that we have tried, I chose the Sedanini con Salccicia and should have stopped the cheese grated over. It would havebeen great if I had just said stop when I should. Still Italian sausage in it was good. My other half tried Tagliolini Scampi,which was delightful and the prawns were fresh.
