We recently dropped by The Taproom while in town visiting family. Everything about our visit was exceptional. Kevin, our... server, was so patient with our endless questions about the menu and drinks. He did not steer us wrong with the mushroom burgerand double bacon cheeseburger. While we waited for our appetizer of Taproom Duo, Kevin gave me the low down on the amazing andexpansive drink menu. I tried a "build your own beer" flight, which was surprisingly good (I am not a big beer drinker), butKevin offered some great suggestions. We attempted to eat at the "place across the street" and got no service at all. Walked over to Taproom and were greeted by... Kevin! Got amazing service, delicious food and amazing drinks! Be sure to go in and ask for Kevin! Definitely will be comingback! Read more
If you are looking for a nice spot to kick back and catch a game, or a nice spot to try some foreign beer, this would be the... place to wind up in. This place has a bar atmosphere to it and has plenty of great beer options to suit it. Huge selection of beers! The waitress was extremely nice and very much trying to accommodate special requests. The food was... satisfying and inexpensive. But you can't call salad with something like strings of grilled beef a Ribeye Salad. Read more

The menu and service is by far some of the best here in San Marcos! The waiters and waitresses that have served me are top... notch. I have never had to ask for a water refill. On busy days, they have gone out of their way to make sure I know theyhaven't forgotten about me. Being a creature of habit with my meals I have noticed great constancy no matter what time of day Iorder a particular meal. I would highly recommend this as a destination when you're out and about.
