Jalapeno cheddar sausage and Mac and cheese were the only worth wild options. Everything else was bland or dry. Friendly crew... and clean environment. I did take out due being on a slightly rushed road trip. I typically like to enjoy bbq on site but had to try Hays, heard it?s... great. The brisket sandwich, corn, Mac n cheese, and banana pudding were all superb. The brisket had great flavors and texture.Would love to try a full brisket slice next time. Wow! Just great. Pork chop is juicy, great cream corn and while I'm not a fan of tomatoes in green beans, they're still good.... Husband says their beans taste like peppered beef jerky, so they were good. And he enjoyed their sliced beef sandwich. Now ifyou happen to go on a day when they have honey Sriracha pork belly, BUY IT! I got two slices so the hubby and I could try it andit just melted in our mouths! I wanted BBQ and this place was on my way home! It did not disappoint! Great food and everything was so delicious. I always get... a baked potato with chopped beef with all the stuffings. We got a brisket sandwich too. Great! Great! Great! Best to eat in andenjoy! Read more

Stopped in this Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ Joint and was very pleased with everything! Do yourself a favor and get the pork... chop. One of the best things I've eaten in awhile! Juicy, tender, seasoned all the way to the bone! I couldn't stop eating it! Ialso got some ribs which were peppery with a sweet and savory pull off the bone tender bite to them. Also pictured is a wellmade jalapeno cheddar sausage ring that actually brought a little spice to the party unlike some I've had at otherestablishments in the past. It paired well with the bbq sauce wrapped in a slice of white bread. As a side we opted for thetwice baked potato casserole that was creamy and delicious! Great place, nice and clean, efficient counter service with plentyof tables inside and even more seating outside and a huge parking lot out front!
