I've been here many times throughout my 15 years here in San Marcos. The food is mostly good but service is hit and miss. Today... was a miss, after getting my $40 worth of burgers I asked for a ranch and was given one which included a speech about how theycharged for ranch and how there was a sign posted at the register stating so. I would have been happy if she had just asked meto go order this "magical" ranch which was watery and not impressive at all. It ruined my meal as she asked me remember this formy next visit. We stopped by here on a whim and found this to be a hidden gem among all the fast food places! A little different in that you... order your food before you sit down and the other half of the building is a gift-store with lots of old fashioned items! My wifeadores boutique shops like these, that add a little nostalgia to our shopping experience! Oh and our food was literally ready inless than 10 mins while we shopped! They called our name and brought our order to-go at the gift shop, how convenient!!! Thebakery/ice cream parlor was awesome- we could not resist and left with a half dozen giant chocolate chip cookies! No joke, thesecookies were bigger than the palm of my hands and had lots of gooey chocolate chunks! Needless to say, we will be back! Read more
Country Style Diner. The burgers are good, the floats are good, everything is good and well made. The store is also really cute... with an eclectic mix of antiques and boutique clothing and home goods. Get some fudge or an impressive cinnamon roll to takehome with you.
