Del taco. San Marcos, CA... hire some employees! But also make sure they are adults or act like it. Talking about the late... night drive thru. It's awful!! 3 cars took 45 minutes to get thru and the employee tells us he has to do the window and makethe food! I don't think the daytime shift has these issues but the night shift is not good. Update: 5/14/22.... went at 10:30pmand got to the drive thru and no lights on the board but we could see it. Says they are open till midnight. No one took ourorder and we Waited and drove to the window and they clearly were open but we could not see the staff in there which was alittle concerning. So we drove to the back of the building to leave and there were 2 employees outside just shooting thebreeze.. We asked them if there was someone inside to take our order And they said that they would take our order in 10 minuteswhen the 2 of them got off of break. This is crazy because they are open but they're going to make us wait 10 minutes till theyget back from break. I asked them why they don't stagger their brakes and that this is not good business for them and theydidn't care and just laughed. No customer service and definitely no service at all 10/8/22... wow, entered the drive thru 20minutes ago and still waiting for food. At window and paid but waiting for change of$ .71. One guy in the place taking orders, taking money and making food!! 10 minutes at the window (my husband watched the timer for the driver thru) in addition to the 20minutes in drive thru. Only 3 cars in drive thru. When we left there was a line of cars 8 deep, they'll be there for hours. Always takes long here but this is ridiculous!! Get it together Del Taco. We'll go somewhere else next time. My one chickentaco had chicken but nothing else basically and that's not what they advertise or show. Sad Read more

Hi, please train your employees on diet sensitivities. We asked for a Coke Zero, she said ?a coke?? We said no, a Coke Zero... please. Guess what? We got a coke. My partners diabetic and his sugars well over 400 now after only a few sips. Please trainyour employees, you can actually kill someone. This is ridiculous. Read more
Tried their fish tacos. Not to bad. Was full after just having 2, they are just shy over street taco size, the fish is battered... and fried. They come with cabbage and salsa on top with a corn tortilla. They have always been so polite there, which is a hugeplus for me. Using proper Grammer when speaking to customers. Read more
The drive through has been pretty fast here when I have gone and the Beyond meat Avocado tacos are amazing!
Ordered 4 of the burger meals and I?ve never had everything burnt. The bread was burnt the meat was burnt there was no sauce and... it was terribly dry. The fries were burnt and two of the sodas were incorrect. I spoke to the manager Marco he said I could comeback for a full refund and when I get here they say they?re not refunding me according to his manager Liz? After this wonderfulexperience, I drop my son off at school/UCSD and he wound up in the urgent care with food poisoning!! I did not receive oneapology from Liz nor Marco. Enjoy food poisoning! OMG this is a really great Del Taco location! I work locally and stopped in on my lunch for a quick bite to eat. The service... was great and I love how they call your order by name and not a stupid number. The food was super fresh and you could verifythis by actually seeing all the vegetables and fruit behind the counter. I have to admit that it?s pretty refreshing to see whatwould usually be hidden or out of view to customers. Try finding that at any McDonalds or even most good Taco Shops here inSouthern California. This location had a salsa bar that was a great touch and I enjoyed knowing I wasn?t using a bunch of onetime use plastic packets that are horrible for the environment. Few times I went here it was pretty good. Don't sleep on del taco, large selection of good stuff.
