Reviews for Sally Loo's Wholesome Cafe in San Luis Obispo, CA
Ordered the Sally?s Waffle & totally one of the best waffles I?ve ever had in my entire life. Only better when my mom makes it!... I liked how fresh it was with all the fruit, almond butter, & homemade granola? the list goes on. If you?re in SLO & looking foran artsy breakfast spot, this is the place. Location was also really central & had plenty of outdoor seating. Great coffee too. Read more
What an incredible restaurant! We came here for Father?s Day this year and got the Sally?s Waffle and Egg Sando. The sandwich is... one of the more popular things on the menu and it is filling, delicious, and nutritious! The waffle was absolutely beautiful tolook at and delightful to eat. We got a chai tea latte and a decaf latte and they were also very good. Highly recommend thislocation! We came back for another breakfast with the family. The poblanos were delicious. The tomatoes and mix of peppers, fresh sautéed veggies, and the eggs were yummy. Read more

Wow! We came in pretty hungry and we were treated to the BEST MEAL of our entire trip. I highly recommend the Avocado Toast with... bacon. The bread was amazing, the avocado super fresh. I also recommend the Quinoa and Arugula salad with chicken, veryflavorful. The gluten-free blueberry scone was a real treat, too! And best of all, one of the November specials, "baby won'tyou jam with me" bacon sandwich with egg added. Terrific flavor, very filling. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Read more
The cutest place for breakfast and brunch with delicious food! The inside was adorable and the outside sitting was wonderful! To... drink we got matcha lattes with honey and a regular latte which were both super tasty! To eat we got the banana pancakes withmacadamia nut coconut butter and the yogurt bowl with fruit and homemade granola - both were delicious! Highly recommend! Alittle further from the main downtown but SO worth it! Read more
Recommended by the lodging we stayed at and we were very satisfied with quality and taste of food, charming decor, friendly... service. Pretty crowded for a Sunday morning 9:30am and it was also too cold (low 50?s) to enjoy a hot breakkie. FYI Photosfrom another reviewer showed more outdoor tables around the corner. Hubby got the BLT sando, I ordered the eggy bread dish(like a savory bread pudding) and we shared a buttermilk waffle! All excellent although a tad more honey on the waffle wouldhave been great. Definitely would return when visiting! Read more
We were passing through SLO and decided to have breakfast. I went strictly by reviews and ratings and this place popped up and... looked great. We were definitely not disappointed! The breakfast burrito was excellent and I utilized the gluten free tortillaoption which was great! We also got the egg sando and they were out of tomatoes so they subbed with avocado which was evenbetter! The hot sauces were great and there was some outdoor and indoor seating. There are multiple other things on the menuthat looked amazing and it was hard to choose! They also looked to have kombucha on tap as well as all different kinds of coffeeoptions. The interior was clean and cozy. We must have been very lucky because we arrived around 11:00 a.m. and there were only5 people in front of us in line. Within 10 minutes there were 22 people in line behind us!!! We also grabbed a blueberry matchascone that was GF and so so good. This place is a real gem and I'll be sure to visit again when in town!
