Reviews for Campus Market in San Luis Obispo, CA
Food is not good, they have very little available for sale, and they don't take cash. Luckily, Subway is a short walk from... there. Read more
Food is good, but sometimes they close earlier then the time that is set and it throws my whole schedule off. So many times I... have tried to order at around 4:30 because they close 5:15 just so that i can eat before class at my favorite on campus placeand they are already closed. Like if you were going to close early you should have publicized it that way people know beforehand and plan to go earlier. Read more
Mediocre food, yet just as pricy as the rest of the dining options on campus. It still gets a lot of traffic as it's the only... dining option in the area. Around lunchtime the wait can get pretty long, but they usually beat the estimated time on GrubHub.Closed for dinner. I'd recommend going anywhere else. Read more
First off, everything here is overpriced except energy drinks, soda, and other junk food. That is all equal pricing to regular... grocery stores, but any real food is way overpriced here. Second, they have a full kitchen here and they make hot food, but youcan't order food here. You have to go through GrubHub, which requires you to make an account and even then, the place doesn'tshow up unless you select campus dining. It's ridiculous, I don't want to support GrubHub or any other food delivery servicewhen I'm literally at the place I want to order from in person. I'm not going to be spending any more money here, inconvenientand overpriced. Read more
It's nice that Cal Poly students have access to a mini-market and can use meal credit at it. That's a luxury that many... University students don't have. But for non-meal credit holding students, the market is kind of mediocre. Item selection ispretty good for a convenience store, but the prices between items vary drastically. For instance, a small bag of "premium" trailmix costs $7.50 while a large bag of generic trail mix costs $2.99 ???????. As long as you know what your getting, Campus Marketis OK for an occasional snack but isn't super reliable. Also, the market is frequently overcrowded during the school year, causing long checkout lines, which kind of diminishes the convenience factor or the market. Read more
I go to "Campus Markup" a lot solely because it is convenient and I'm on campus 10 hours a day. Almost everything is massively,... frustratingly overpriced - it's a game for me at this point to find the most remote places in this country that are stillcheaper than campus market. What's weird is that the price markups are inconsistent - you'll have candy that's the same price asoff-campus next to peanut butter that's 3x its normal price. The cooked food is pretty mediocre, and once again overpriced. I'drecommend the Starbucks breakfast sandwiches on the other side of the store over anything I've tried. The Starbucks, at least,is basically a normal Starbucks. If you can go off campus, don't go here. Read more
A good place on campus to get necessities and various food items. Definite markup compared to off-campus retailers, but not... overly unreasonable. The grill is a good place to get the quick bite, and the sushi is not bad either. There is also a saladbar, a pair of hot entrees, and soup of the day available. Kudos to the staff and student employees! :) Read more
