It's definitely good, and I would say better than Piadina which is the other new age Californian-in-a-hotel restaurant downtown.

We had great service from both the hosting and wait staff. To get straight to the point and avoid mincing words: The best eggs... Benedict we have ever had, this coupled with the local fresh fruit and my guest's experience with the Salmon quiche andcroissant beignets make this a perfect choice for breakfast in SLO. Read more

Pretty good food at not outrageous prices. Fun drinks, flavorful meals, good location. It can get cool in the outside seating so... bring a jacket just in case. Read more

Had a wonderful dinner with the family here. Very nice wine selection to go along with the good starter offerings. Oysters were... very nice start, which Max said were from Baja. I have always had PNW, NorCal, or New England varieties. These weredelightful! Followed with the brie, which devoured in 3 minutes. Worth the wait. It is suited for two so order more than onefor three or more people. My wife had a very well prepared martini and a Cesar's salad was shared. Nice touch with pickledpurple onions. Mains were pasta, lamb, and the chefs cut steak. The Lamb was very tender and delicious. The lamb sausage islike a semi spicy kofta. My wife had the steak which was lean and cooked perfectly per her order. The accompanying mushroomsand sauce did not overwhelm the beef, which is how we like it. I didn't get a chance to taste the pasta, but my daughter ate itall. We shared a carafe of Tablas Creek white blend. Don't know what the corkage fee is, probably should inquire since thereare wineries all over the place. Finished with coffee and desserts. Coffee was nice and thankfully very hot! Don't know whyso many restaurants serve semi hot coffee. Overall nice atmosphere. We dined outside which was helped by the cool summerevening. Inside was gorgeous, with a beautiful bar. We all commented on the modern but comfortable french bistro chairs. Verynice touch. I will return to try the beef bourguignon or octopus. Finally our server Max did a great job pacing the orders andanswered all the questions on the menu. There is street parking, but if you know this town, it's good to know the severalparking garages nearby. I do reccomend reservations, which we made 45 minutes prior. We were pleasantly surprised by thisplace, having just arrived in town and picked it almost randomly. Read more
