To the older gentleman working there - you do not tell customers you are not serving outside when in fact there was a couple... getting food and drinks provided to them outside. I sat there for about 30 minutes waiting for service, go in to check and thatolder guy tells me that they don't serve outside and RECOMMENDED I go elsewhere! Can you believe that? I questioned him aboutthe couple who were getting food and drinks served to them at the patio and he was kind of speechless. To the owners ofEnglanders Sport Pub, I have come there before and I don't think I want to come there again when I feel I was beingdiscriminated for reason I don't know why by that older white gentleman. So unacceptable and saddening. Yes, he mentioned theywere busy because there was a game going on. But then TREAT All YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS the same way. The Englander is an iconic San Leandro Institution. A large sports bar with lots of indoor and outdoor dining as well as a... banquet room for large groups. The service is great and the food is your typical Pub fare with generous proportions. It's agreat place to watch sports, go out with the family, or have drinks with friends after work. I've enjoyed many a date on warmevenings when we can sit outside. Pet friendly in the outdoor seating area too. Read more
