Great place for sashimi and poke. The inside was very clean and had an at home like feel. Simple menu and the side dishes were... delicious. Will definitely come back to try other menu items. Read more

I went to Hanami thinking it was a Japanese restaurant. I was pleased they had udon on the menu. But it\'s more of a poke-style... place, with a \"modular\" menu: pick your broth, pick your protein, etc. As a result, you don\'t end up with a dish the way itshould be done. Not traditional Japanese food by any stretch of the imagination. If you\'re a fan of this modular menu trend, you might like it. Read more
Stopped in for lunch and had a delightful meal. Items were fresh and perfectly cooked. My partner got the Ramen tonkotsu which... had deep and well layered broth with roasted garlic tones spilling out of every spoon full. I had a bento box of chicken katsuand California rolls. Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be coming back for more. Read more
Always a delight to check out a new restaurant in the neighborhood! Everything was very fresh, pickup was ready in around 15... minutes, and they had the front door open plus all staff were wearing masks for COVID safety. I am super duper picky abouttakeout these days, but the food here was fresh, tasty, and balanced - I will definitely be back!!\n\nI\'ll review each of thedishes we tried:\n\nPoke (Salmon and Scallop): I specifically ordered this because old or spent-too-long-in-the-freezer scallopsare pretty distinctive. I was pleased to find the fish was very fresh! All the toppings were a delight, and their spicy poke andwasabi ponzu were delicious. They were able to accommodate my ask for the ponzu to be on the side. My *only* complaint (and justbarely) was that the rice was very slightly underseasoned, but that being said it tasted fresh, was not dry, and had a perfecttexture. I was able to just add a little soy sauce and everything was good to go.\n\nTonkatsu ramen: We got this because wefrequently make Tonkatsu in bone broth at home, and I wanted to compare the taste. This was a delight! The texture of the porkwas crispy/chewy on the outside, tender on the inside. The fat of the pork belly had been treated appropriately and wasmelt-in-your-mouth instead of gristly. I appreciated that the broth was packaged separately. I think the broth was a bone brothand home made, it had a distinct and familiar rich scent.\n\nTakoyaki: I was immediately met with the strong funk of bonito whenI opened the box, I really appreciate that they didn\'t shy away from the flakes. The balls were freshly fried, a perfect crispyexterior with just the right amount of chew inside. The sauces were super flavorful and the whole experience a delight. Thisplace is dangerously close to me and I sense I am going to be popping by for some of these as a random afternoon snack on aregular basis... Read more
We called in the order and ready in about 20 minutes. It was delicious. Highlights are the mixed tempura (very fresh), beef... teriyaki, spicy California roll, salmon roll and the hinami special miso broth (garlic and more spices) with the udon.Everything tasted really fresh and seemed like it was made on site. More depth in the salad dressing than you usually get! Read more
