I love supporting local business and have given this place a few shots but have to say my two visits were not stellar. // First... shot was Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken and Mac & Cheese for takeout. Got home and no pork and no one would pick up the phone? OKit happens. Ribs were fantastic! Chicken had great flavor but dry and just no on the M & C. // Gave them another shot boutthree weeks later. This time Brisket, and Pulled Pork (made sure it was in the bag this time). Again flavor was really goodbut dry on the pork and I have never had a lean Brisket before. Other than a small area around the top, it had the moistness &texture of a done steak (see the picture). I'm not expecting the French Laundry, just good solid flavorful moist BBQ. Withthis guys pedigree it should be solid every time and so much better. Read more

The food was unreal! Had a brisket sandwich (pictured), fries, and roasted brussel sprouts and everything was 10/10 phenomenal.... We even got a tour of the smoker and got to see the smoke master at work. We?ll definitely be back in the near future. Read more

AMAZING! Best pulled pork I?ve ever had. Their homemade sauces are interesting too?like Horseradish & Lemon for one. Cocktails... available. Great selection of canned non-alcoholic beverages like probiotic ginger lime soda. They also offer GLUTEN FREE bunsand many of their side dishes are gluten free. Most of their meats and poultry are gluten free I believe, but double check onthat. The beans were delicious too! A bit disappointed they were sold out of almost everything at 3:00pm on a Friday. But goodfor them. This place is a must for the BBQ fan. Read more

Great food everything is organic even the wood they use to smoke with no pesticides, awesome people, family run. Local gem that... has been in business for over a year. The meat is never frozen so you are getting quality! I will keep coming back! Read more

I have ordered food from this scam joint a dozen times. They NEVER get it right. Tonight's effort was a "mefium rare" burger. ... Nope. WELL DONE. The sides were wrong. The sauce was wrong. It's just an awful experience. Every. Single. Time. And it'stoo expensive to keep paying for epic fails. Read more

We went to the Smoke Point following a raving recommendation from locals. Prior to going we did some research about the place as... we were told the chef is a former Michelin Star restaurant chef. We were hooked when we read about the idea of Jarad Gallagherto offer ?simple food, well prepared?. We?ve tried out various BBQ restaurants during our time living in the US. From chainslike ?Mighty Quinn?s? in NYC, to places with varying reputation in North Carolina and Texas. I don?t want to beat around thebush but the food we got was not more than OK. We had the pulled pork, the brisket, loaded potatoe salad, and the Cole slaw. Themeat items were not even lukewarm and the sides came right out of the fridge. We had not expected something mind blowing givingthe previously mentioned philosophy not to deliver something fancy but solid and honest. The quality did not meet BBQ chain foodquality. Maybe the kitchen had a bad day reading through the other convincing reviews. The one thing to easily improve on isfood presentation and ambience. Yes, the food is optimized for take out etc. but sides could be presented a little nicer thansled over the table in a plastic bucket with a grumpy face. I?d rather get a little less potatoe salad served pleasantly in aproper (porcelain?) bowl than a full pint compressed in a plastic cup. Attached some pictures for reference. Would we come back? No. Overall, it did not feel like fair value for money. Read more
