Best Karnataka style (south-Indian) food in Bay Area. It?s very appetizing and flavorful. My wife and me felt like we were... eating home food back in India. We chose Suggi Oota to cater lunch for our baby shower. We invited different groups of friends to our function and initially... planned to serve traditional South Indian meal. But Ranjini had a larger catering order with a different fusion menu. The menuincluded Bean Burger and bbq corn tarts for starters. American Chop Suey, Beetroot roti with lotus root curry and fried ricewith tofu for main course. Dessert was beetroot halwa with almond nut cream. We were not sure if everyone would like the itemsbut we trusted Ranjini. She was very sweet and answered all of our questions and accommodated our request to keep the food readyby 12.30 PM. The food in itself was just too good. From fresh, crispy bean burger patty to the finely diced vegetables in friedrice, everything was perfection. The lotus root curry was a hit. Beetroot halwa turned out to be better than carrot halwa. Theusually neglected fried rice was empty. Almost all the guests asked for the Suggi Oota?s contact. The best part is how we feltthe next day. We did not feel like we had a heavy lunch, masala was apt and there wasn?t any food color residue on my fingersthat I noticed. We catered food from Suggi Oota for a house warming and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. Everyone was only talking about the... food and raving about it?s authentic, homemade taste. The menu is fixed for the day but they are willing to make small changesto accommodate your requests. The pricing is per plate and it felt reasonable for the quantity and quality of the foodprovided. If you ever have that South Indian, Karnataka food craving, call Suggi Oota and you won?t be disappointed. And alwaysget the holiges, they are just yummmmy! Read more

Suggi Oota is one of best place for vegetarian food. Shiva takes care of every meal served as serving to a family member at... home. Now i know reason it is 5 star rating. Very few restaurants maintain the consistency of food be in quality, quantity andhygiene. I definitely recommend people to try the food from here. I placed order of Thursday meal: it came with good portion of2 curries, 2 chapati, rice, complementary bread. Like i said quantity and quality is perfect and feels like home food. Absolutely loved the North Karnataka special meal from Suggi Oota. Super authentic, delicious food packed and served with love.... It immediately transported me back home to Bengaluru. This is a cloud kitchen setup where you can order food before hand and pick it up from their brick and mortar kitchen. For the... weekday you can order the day before and collect it on the given weekday. Monday is a holiday. There is a special meal onSaturday. Sunday of only brunch. The menu varies on a daily basis. The menu varies based on odd and even week basis. For theSaturday dinner, the reservation opens from Wednesday onwards. The cuisine is primarily Karnataka based cuisine. We ordered theSaturday dinner. It has plain rice, tamarind rice, masala vada, buttermilk, mango pulp drink, sweet puranpoli, kosambari(saladof carrot and urad dal), moong dal sprout curry. The food was really tasty and was balanced in flavor. It was like a really wellhome cooked meal. This is one of the only places where you can get a good Karnataka based meal. I certainly recommend this forall people to taste it. We are surely planning to try out next Saturday for the North Karnataka meal with the Jowar roti andthethe accompaniments. Read more

I came across suggi oota online and wanted to use their catering for our house warming ceremony. I was looking for an authentic... and good Karnataka food in Bay Area which is very hard to find. I did read most of the reviews before speaking to Ranjini andso glad we chose suggi oota?? I wish I could give more than 5 stars. All the reviews speak volumes about how good Suggi ootafood is. The whole experience of ordering for catering was so smooth. When you speak to Ranjini you can feel the passion she hastowards food. I called her a week before my event to order Karnataka food for about 45 people. She was so cooperative indeciding the menu and gave such amazing options. So impressed with the quality of the food. We had our friends parents visitingfrom Bangalore and they felt the food was exactly like what one would find in Karnataka. It?s really hard to pick one item asthe best???? everyone loved her appetizers Mirchi Bhajji and ambode, ghee rice was just too good with kurma. The methi chapathiwas so good all my friends asked for extra servings to take home. What surprised me most was her sambhar. Generally with suchcatering orders people just give an ordinary sambhar, but Ranjini made the Sambhar with drumstick and all other veggies and youcan feel as if it was made by someone?a mom. For desserts we ordered godhi payasa and dry gulab jamun. I am not a big fan of drygulab jamun here in Bay Area but the one made by Ranjini was so good !! We hardly had anything left over. The godhi pyasa isjust like what you would eat in Karnataka temples. What impressed me was the quality of the ingredients she used and went anextra mile to make the appetizers just before our order pickup so that people can enjoy it while it?s hot. I am so glad Ranjinidecided to open suggi oota so that other people can enjoy her cooking as well.
