I love this space: good vibe, food, art, coffee and music. And welcoming service. I love frequenting vibrant places like... this?happy I finally tried it after a few months of passing it on the light rail. Easily accessible by publictransportation. Amazing coffee shop in downtown San Jose. Atmosphere was vibrant with pumping music (be warned if you?re not used to louder... coffee shops). I arrived at 8AM on Sunday, so it wasn?t too busy. The flavored drinks (I had a Mocha & Ube Latte, both w/ wholemilk) do come sweet, so politely ask your barista to work with your preferences and they will accommodate. The food wasdelicious; I tried the Veggie Quiche, Chorizo Waffle, and Sweet Potato Pie. The quiche had a perfect silky egg texture with abuttery, flaky crust and it was perfectly complemented by the few tomato pieces inside. The waffle was a bit plain with afilling of chorizo and cheese on the inside, but the seasoning was perfect (they do give you syrup and butter to add). The sweetpotato pie was sweet but did not overwhelm the flavor of the warm spice blend and you can taste the marshmallow cream they topit off with, it?s definitely an ?eat with black coffee? item. These food items were accumulated over many visits, they do fillyou up. To end with, the baristas were kind and helpful, greeting everyone upon entry despite being busy supervising food andcrafting drinks. I highly recommend everyone try Nirvana Soul. Read more
My all time favorite local coffee shop. All the food and drinks are excellent. Tons of variety and something for everyone that... you won?t find at every coffee shop, but still has plenty of delicious classics. The staff are all incredibly nice and theambience is wonderful. You should visit immediately. This independent coffee shop has a great vibe. The staff is super friendly. The selection of... beverages is unique and fresh, not to worry though, you can still get a plain latte or drip coffee. There is a food selectionavailable, both sweet and savory. There is beer on tap!!! Beer! There's outside seating if you are not quite ready to havecoffee indoors. There is an upstairs loft for sitting, but also has a display of art from local artists. At the time of thiswriting, the staff told me that they are hopeful to begin their in-person community events soon. Open mic night, poetry, Thatsort of stuff. There is limited parking on 1st Street, but there is plenty of parking within a block. The takeaway point is tovisit Nirvana Soul. Read more
I have saved this place for a long time and I finally got the chance to visit here today! We ordered 2 latte and one Waffle, the... waffle Smells so good and the coffee was not bad. I really love the vibe here, we were sitting on the second floor and waitresscame and asked us if we wanna some water, which was so nice!! A place with positive vibes and good coffee. The servers are super friendly. Expect a crowd on weekends. Wish they had more... seating space. Art work is lovely. The hazelnut mocha is a special and it?s good though a tad bit too sweet. They have a bunchof non dairy milk options.
