Was super surprised at how good the sushi was. I'm picky about sushi so I wouldn't order nigiri at any random place, but I did... get the Alaskan roll and I definitely felt like getting more. I'm usually not one for rolls, but this one is simple and yummy.Rice was great (which is even more important than the fish) and the fish tasted good for a roll. Was provided with wasabi, ginger and soy sauce. The ginger was really sweet, but nice. Overall, v satisfying snack for me whilst we explored downtown.Female staff at counter was friendly. The reviews on Google aren't the best, but there were unsurprisingly lots of customersthat I had to wait a bit to get my food. I didn't notice anyone get nigiri nor sashimi, which is smart. Everyone got variousrolls and the poke bento. Responding to the other low star reviews, I feel it should be obvious that you should go to adedicated sushi restaurant to get nigiri or sashimi as a general/common sense rule. 4 stars because the price isn't the mostaffordable. This is the worst sushi in San Jose I've ever had. I can get over the fact that it's overpriced but the portions were miserably... small and the fish was not fresh. I threw away $18 in food rather than eat bad fish. Sushi confidential less then a block awayis much better than this and they're still not close to some of the best sushi we have in San Jose. I highly recommend Kenjisushi and Koya sushi. Read more

what?s not to like. i usually get the poke bento box and eat it at the patio in San Pedro Square Market which is like 30 feet... (maybe ten meters) away. there are many other places to eat near by too and a few nice bars with various awesome drinkselections. Read more

Miso soup was pretty gross end it hurts me to say that because I love miso soup. The Philly roll tasted good but it was sloppy... (would fall apart). Same goes for the California roll. Special roles were made a lot better but the taste just wasn?t there .Also the soy sauce was nasty (very cheap tasting) There are other sushi places in the area where you can get your bang for yourbuck. Hopefully this place sees my review and makes the appropriate adjustments. Read more

The sushi was not good :( the cooks and lady at the front that took my order were all very friendly and nice. But food was very... expensive and not worth it at all. 16.75$ for 1 shrimp lovers roll. Read more
