Ordered the family platter 2 times and both times the beef brisket had so much fat on it we didn’t eat it.. over filled with... fries.. so you will basically pay over $60 for 5 ribs that are just “okay” and 2 sides.. not worth the money. I’m almostpositive they got new cooks or changed the recipe because the quality just isn’t there. My advice go to a different locationor save yourself the time and money and just make your own food! Promise it will taste better Ps I emailed famous Dave’sbased on their response & NEVER got a reply back. So even after a bad experience they won’t make things right. ordered Texas brisket take out? found out it's chicken instead! Almost $40 for one pound chicken meat... Taste not bad though
This is more a corporate issue. There is something wrong with there on line system. I ordered on line from the Hayward store but... my order ended up on the one in San Jose? I called and was told I would have to call the San Jose store and cancel and Wait 2-3days for a refund? They apparently couldn’t just credit me back. One of the persons I spoke with told me that this is an ongoing issue that corporate is already aware of. Apparently corporate doesn’t care about customer care. Amazing food. Extremely friendly employees. It's a for sure must eat at if you are in the area and love BBQ. I enjoyed it alot.... Everything was delicious. Decided to get some BBQ for lunch with friend. Pictured is my meal, and it was delicious! The chicken was cooked nicely and not... dry. The ribs were delicious, however not the most tender I’ve ever had. Beans were decent, a little sweeter than I prefer.And the potatoes and cornbread were good too. Came for the unlimited rib tips on Thursdays as advertised on their website but this location does not participate in that promo... at this time. But we still stayed and enjoy their delicious BBQ. Masks were not required during our visit today. YAYY! Somenormalcy! Read more
BBQ is definitely hard to find. I actually discovered famous Dave’s when I was on a trip to Reno and wanted BBQ. Went online... and Googled barbecue spots nearby and this one happened to pop up. Decided to go and check it out and I definitely wasn’tdisappointed and then I learned that there was one closer to me where I actually live. My favorite thing is brisket and thisone was delicious. The baked beans weren’t bad and the cornbread muffin was tasty. I also got a hot link which I was reallyglad it was semi-burnt because that’s how I enjoy the hot links. Burnt ends are awesome! The only downfall yo the place is it’s location. Homeless engulfed ghetto parking lot where people... fight over parking spots…. The Plant unfortunately could use a cleanup, the vibe of the parking lot for some reason is superghetto and lacks security. If you get into famous Dave’s alive though the bbq and staff are on point.
