$20 for a tasteless vegan burger. And I stupidly ordered three of them. And then realized that I have to wait an hour for them... to make the food. Looks good in pics, but absolutely terrible. I'm expecting Deep fried batter burgers to be Crispy? And thenyou have the audacity to charge for Hot Sauce. Who does that? And the ambiance is terrible - No seating, homeless everywhere.I'm too scared to even step out of my car and wait for an hour. Never coming here again! Read more

The food here is excellent. I was so glad when they opened a restaurant for take out as in the past I did wait on a long line at... a pop up in Oakland. About once a month I get food from here and it never disappoints. The seasonings are on point! Also theowner is a super kind person. A few days ago after I got my food my car wouldn't start as the battery died. The roadsideassistance company I have was useless ! They told me a dispatcher would call me back and within 30 minutes they still hadn't .Veronica offered to contact her well known roadside assistance company and within 3 minutes they were there helping me out. Shealso gave me a bottle of water while I was stressfully waiting in the heat. She helped me out tremendously for which I amgrateful to her. Go check out her great food. Read more

???? To sum it up my carnivore coworkers were fooled. They said ?No vegan food should taste that good.? The texture like meat,... the breading slightly crunchy. I could not put it down. Cannot thank you enough how well they handled a large order. Veryimpressed with the quality and love put into their meals. Reminded me of my beloved Dharma?s Kitchen (vegan) in Florida. THANKYOU for having a west coast go to for me. Don?t be a Chickn & try it. Read more

OMG! This place is sooo freaking good. I'm Flexitarian so I still know what real chicken tastes like. Friends take me to places... that have vegan chicken sandwiches that they rave about and I'm like yuck. But not here. Definitely check this place out. Youwon't be disappointed. Read more

This is the best veg fried chicken I have had, and will probably ever have, in my entire life. It?s juicy, it?s crunchy, every... single bite is pure bliss. Their chicken sandwiches are to die for, and even better, you?re supporting a black woman ownedbusiness when you eat here. That said, there?s two pretty big issues with this business. The first issue is that their pricesare way too high, like $20 for a single sandwich (without sides). The other annoying issue is that it?s really hard to actuallyeat their food ? I?m never really sure when they?re open! Their Google Maps hours (while updated) are often not correct. I?vehad several occasions where I?ve tried ordering on Doordash or UberEats or GrubHub, and though these apps said they were open,my order was just canceled. When they were a food truck it was hard to even find their truck, now they have a permanent locationbut I have shown up at it during ?open? hours and it?s been closed. For any other restaurant those would be immediate reasonsto only get 1 star, but their fried chicken is so good that I will give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they fix theseissues sometime soon. Tried them at their new West Oakland location: the wait time was about an hour (fortunately the online ordering indicated this... ahead of time) and the prices a bit steep (but vegan food in the bay area tends to be), but overall the food was delicious andstaff friendly. Very happy to have a good restaurant option in this part of town, I really enjoyed the food and will be goingagain. Read more

Caught this black-owned oakland-based all vegan food truck in south bay and finally got to try out their vegan fried chickn... menu! The wait was a little long (a bit over an hour) so make sure you stay hydrated and sun-screened, but the the food wastotally worth it! We ordered: - $ide Chick (fried chick'n in spicy cluck sauce served in vegan brioche bun) - Boneless Chick'nWing Meal in buffalo sauce with mac and cheese - DBC Tender Box Combo (2 chick'n tenders, crinkle fries, garlic toast andcoleslaw) That was way too much food for two people but we were too excited about the menu and couldn't choose between so manyamazing items so we decided to go with all! If you have to pick one item on the menu to order, we'd say definitely go with thesandwiches! That way you get to try their amazingly buttery brioche buns with the perfect crispiness on the edge as well astheir yummy fried tenders! Their buffalo sauce was phenomenal with the perfect balance of spiciness and tartness which cutnicely into the richness of the deep fried tenders. We also especially liked the lightness of the garlicky coleslaw to offersome refreshment. Check us out @vegeatswithya on IG for more vegan and vegetarian eats! Read more

Highly recommend the hot Nashville, it is not super spicy & is such a great alternative! Everything tasted wonderful, but... unfortunately with great flavor comes a bit of a high price but definitely worth it! Read more
