Overpriced. Food y gross. This is one of those places you show up at because of the reviews and you end up upset because you... knew better than ti follow the reviews. Don?t be fooled it says its a bakery cafe. You don?t get that vibe here. I don?t thinkthey make anything here. It doesn?t even smell like coffee. My mocha taste like an instant packet of hot chocolate the cheapkind. Looks like everything you order is prepared somewhere else and they just nuke it. The pastries not tempting at all. Decided to come here on my last day in California. Drove by it every day while on vacation in this area. I have never heard of... this place before. I ordered the breakfast power bowl and water. The portion was HUGE and yummy. I couldn't eat it all. Thegentleman that was at the register was very polite. Outside seating was roomy but too chilly for me and had moisture on tables.Would recommend this place to eat. Read more
I pick up breakfast for the office every Friday. There was a request for Blueberry muffins. Simple task, right? Corner Bakery... appeared to have some really nice ones. I try calling the day before - no answer. I check their website to order ahead for thenext morning. No option to select ANY date. So I decide to get there early and beat the rush. Place was packed, but mainly tableservice platters. The bakery case up front looked pretty sparse, but there appeared to be about 8-9 muffins of a couple variety.Awesome, right? It took almost 30 mins to get through a line of 7 other people ahead of me. I FINALLY get to order. "Oh sorry,we don't have any muffins. Those are mini bundt cakes." CON: Pricey for meh quality & tier. Was stopping by to grab a snack in-between work. I don't know how some place can get away... with $9 for a tiny CUP of watered-down, made-from-a-can, soup and have it not even come with a piece of bread or crackers oranything. And they are a bakery/deli so it isn't like they don't have bread... Also was weird out/annoyed by how the managermade it a point to recall and point out how I had stopped in earlier (like 5-10 minutes earlier) and then left without gettinganything. Like, sorry I was just looking at the menu jeez. Also, not everyone who comes in and looks is obligated to purchaseyour overpriced food & drink. I would have purchased a baked good, but when I looked in the glass case my original time in, Isaw a huge fly in it landing on the cookies so - big pass. PRO: I tried the new Wild Berry Arnold Palmer (but I'm pretty surehe gave me a Wild Berry Iced Tea instead because I didn't taste any lemonade in it and all I saw him put in my cup was iced teafrom the customer Self-Serve counter and no lemonade), and while it was a bit pricey - $5 for a Medium-sized (at best) iced teadrink, it was pretty good. But the wild berry flavor is just a syrup that is dropped into the bottom (not a berry tea blend or ahouse-made brew) so make sure you stir it before you drink it, or you'll get a sweet drink at the bottom but if you pull thestraw up, from the lower 3rd up, it'll be watery/watered-down plain tea with not much flavor. I ordered the pick two Mac & Cheese and chopped salad. There was more food than I could eat. The Mac & Cheese was what I... really wanted but the quality was a little better than a box mix. The salad was the star of the meal very fresh & super tasty. Each bite was an adventure in your mouth. It is on par with Panera. Read more
