Definitely some sanitary issues here since you?ll see flies on the bagels in the window display (they should just install a... little glass door for the bagels). It?s a cramped space with napkins, but bring your own hand sanitizer since the bathroom isalmost always busy. Ya know?so you can wash your hands before you dig into the bagel. Cleanliness aside, there?s usually a mildline & wait, as far as breakfast goes in Hayes valley, this is probably the best for your buck. Bagels are solid, and ingredientquality is good too. They used to have hot sauces for customers but they seem to have removed them? If you?re in Hayes valleyand need breakfast or love bagels then this is it, but overall the place is just OK for San Francisco. Nice folks though! The staff were absolutely the worst today. I understood that there was a long line of folks ordering so I waited patiently. I?d... already ordered online, but they were not working on them, but rather for the folks who were ordering from the store. If you?renot going to work on them, then why communicate that the order would be ready? Why do you accept online orders then. Or at thevery least inform the customers who have ordered online that it?ll be late. And after 45 mins of waiting, when I asked them whenmy order would be ready, they said it would take another 30 mins. I asked them to cancel my order, and she was like ?okay?.There was no apology or anything. Friendly staff with a limited, but fine selection of bagels with vegan fillings.

I?ll be honest - first time I ordered a lox sandwich I was not impressed. And actually that?s my fault. I didn?t make a proper... order with all the fixings. This time I did and this was the BEST lox sandwich I?ve ever had. I also bought a tub of the smokedsalmon cream cheese, which is phenomenal. Don?t buy smoked salmon cream cheese from anywhere else! Ordered the smoked salmon supposedly comes with capers came with none had to ask and I was eating I looked in the bag and no... napkins like I wonder if they go eat without napkins as well just wondering because if the answer is no then why would you notgive your customers napkins to wipe their hands and mouth...don't think I'll come back was my first and last time here and Igave a tip but hopefully they use it to remember how their bagels are done and napkins .
