Excellent pizza has been enjoyed in the past, but recently I was craving spaghetti and meatballs and was pleasantly surprised.... After starting with a Caesar salad of generous proportions, I was served a perfectly prepared and tasty bowl of deliciousspaghetti with great meatballs and a fresh, flavorful red sauce. It was an excellent dinner with enough that I took home aportion of both, I did have to wait really long for the check, but it was a great meal I will return for again… Read more

Please allow me to preface this review and the photograph by stating that this in no way meant to slander or disrespect Village... Pizzeria at all. I have been an avid supporter of Village Pizzeria since I was a child having grown up right down the streetfrom the Clement Street location. When I lived in Los Angeles, for 8 years I considered their Larchmont location one of three tofour options you have in Los Angeles to have decent New York Style Pizza. Not to mention that I also respect that Village hasroots in all three of these aforementioned Cities and represent that. Hardly anyone outside of here represents San Francisco inthe Pizza World. And the reason for that is that San Francisco is hardly even a REAL PIZZA CITY like there are all over the EastCoast. I understand that. And it seems Village Pizzeria understands that too. Village Pizzeria is one of the few places thatkeeps San Francisco and Los Angeles somewhat proper. They can't do it alone. Back in the day, they kind of did though. SanFrancisco had almost no credibility as a Pizza City outside of Tony's for the longest time besides Village. I stand by this. These disheveled slices still were very good and made me feel like I do not need to plan an emergency trip to New York. However, the honest truth is without the help of Empire Pizza I still would need to do so. But until then, Village kept me going when Ihad no one except Joe's peripherally in a West Coast World, with an East Coast level of passion for pizza as a consumer. An EastCoast level of passion as a patron and supporter of the men and women who have given their lives to Serve Pizza as many of thegreatest minds of humanity always have. This is more a criticism of Door Dash and Village Pizzeria needs to know how Door Dashis making them look. Just know if this happened to me, it could happen to anyone. And if Door Dash is reading this, considerfiguring something out on the Driver's End so that they have what they need to properly deliver Read more

Sadly, this is some of the worst pizza I’ve had in SF. Their other location is much better. Don’t get me wrong - it’ll get... the job done when your drunk and leaving a show, but it’s not worth stopping at. Read more

Super friendly waitress. I wish I'd gotten her name. We were there on Monday the 19, 2022. She gave great service, the food was... very tasty and everything was delivered hot and delicious. Great atmosphere too. I love the old San Francisco black-and-whitepictures and the old brick walls. Will definitely go back. Read more

It's hovering around a 3 star pizza. I like how it's loaded on ingredients but my first impression on the "Homemade meatball" is... DRY. The meatball was white and tasted like ground chicken breast honestly. The brown sausage was flat, dry, and SALTY. Why didthey have to flatten it? The sauce, cheese, vegetables were fine. The dough was soft because it's thin crust but it was a littlechewy. The crust was good when it was hot but once it started to get cold, it was tough and chewy. For the price of $33.55 foran 18" X-Large pizza (as of July 2020), I'd say it's alright. Delivery service was also fast. It came 20minutes early. From thereviews, it seems like this place is a hit or miss with both the pizza and delivery. For me, the pizza was eh but the deliverywas a hit. So, you can take your chances on this place. I will not come back to this place as I try to complete my quest to findgood cheap pizza in SF. Read more
