My friend and I went here at ~7pm on a Monday night, and we were easily able to get a table in the back immediately. Though... there was a draft at the entrance of the restaurant, towards the back it was cozy and warmer. The food was excellent. We sharedthe mixed kale, almonds, & ricotta salad ($12) and each ordered the same pasta dish: orecchiette w/ house fennel sausage, broccoli rabe, pecorino, chili, crema, breadcrumbs ($20). The orecchiette was rich, creamy, and savory — one might compare itto a high-end mac & cheese (though others might consider that comparison sacrilegious). In total, the bill for 2 was under $80including tax and tip, but that was without any drinks. Highly recommend for a date night or night out with friend(s)! Read more
Come alone or with a friend, sit at the counter to chat or read or write. Order the pizza and a few of the appetizers (burrata,... beets, tiny spicy marinated octopus, if they have them), and then maybe have the boar pasta or the octopus. The wine is alwaysgreat, your best bet is to ask for a recommendation depending on what you’re feeling. So happy to be back here after twoyears of pandemic. Read more
SF restaurant week special! The kale salad was perfect, that pop of mint in there really did it for me. The beets were fine but... could use some citrus or feta cheese. Pasta and pizza were cooked to perfection. The sauce on the pomodoro was addictive and themozzarella on the pizza was super high quality. Desserts were great too, could have gone with half the amount of peanuts on themousse and the Pana cotta was divine! Thanks for a great meal! A solid choice. Read more
Everything was delicious! I would highly recommend the eggplant parmigiana it was so so so perfect! Loved the pizza and... cauliflower dish too, it all felt like we were in a piece of Italy in San Francisco. Read more
We got a lot of attitude from the hostess about being a few minutes late for our reservation and didn’t feel like we were... treated well. The food was decent but the pizzas were lukewarm. I will say the kale pizza was incredible even while lukewarm. The burrata pizza should have been served warmer. Extensive wine list, plenty of seating, fairly quiet ambiance while stillbeing upscale casual. Read more
Would have loved to have an experience to share but wasn't given the opportunity. Our party of 6 (my husband and I were visiting... our 26 y/o daughter and boyfriend and roommate) was turned away. We didn't have reservations and was curtly told he didn't spacefor our group, although visibly space was open. I noticed 6 spaces at the bar and asked if we could possibly sit at the bar andhis terse response was "Nice try." Cant recommend based solely on attitude. Read more
